5 ?% G/ q% h7 y% ZPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment, Immigration & Industry, the community development worker coordinates workshops seminars and activities. This individual reports to the ISP program manager and provides support to all members of the ISP team. 4 r" h6 W! i! W7 f

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community* Q+ r( z3 J& x# D3 E
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
7 {: t) i. m7 i/ Q _) b U. r- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services

- coordinate good will activities

- prepare and send AGM information to members, b0 L$ H; A" V. J, J9 Y( ~
- assist in special events coordinating: Open House, AGM, Volunteer Appreciation, etc." v6 G/ I, t) ], S ]$ C) S
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

- assist in writing proposal for ISP' H) v$ F# ?) t" k! R
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP

$ x, n7 ~# p, P. s v- hold regular meetings with ISP team/ f6 ^' U Y7 e; K4 s0 f
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

6 d- n9 Q3 O+ M/ X1 b) p0 V0 g- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
