• provide leadership to staff and volunteers

• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders8 K$ Y/ x# b, M2 \

• identify community and user needs and trends/ g; _5 f* F6 b, E
• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends0 y2 B5 g! { e8 ]$ y2 X

• maintenance of appropriate reporting

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities

• communicate the value of the organization to the public
% U7 c% M5 e# P- I• identify community needs and trends
/ c7 s& L2 J/ w: V) ]• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
) w- ?1 f! t# B t) w" z• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups) \/ [6 A! t. a; q% I
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

Qualifications2 r" |9 T1 r' Z7 _ P1 ~
- University degree in a related field; ( l2 r( A7 Q7 |/ X5 W
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
r" l. s+ b. @9 l. y- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
" Q0 n: x) s$ e- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization
