• is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board

• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions

• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• identify community and user needs and trends

• ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities

• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
6 t* F3 Q# h/ M+ D$ S2 @• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
: `! D3 k6 f0 o% D# g7 o$ ~• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems. t0 H4 Q o, z1 U
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff

- University degree in a related field;
6 t m; ~! R# p! s; V Y1 D6 h0 |; m" q$ K- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
' c. s, Q, e* I: B" A$ y- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; " b, r {% o; t8 n
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

! }' g$ H. `9 ^: G' J) U* y5 Q- x5 Y3 HSalary
4 q/ Y3 K( x+ H8 H& g' r; l- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits 5 P9 P: o- k: {7 F1 J. Z
