Staff

• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions

• build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
5 B C" x' ~) U* F, c• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• identify community and user needs and trends
Y& v( U _* l1 b• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

• maintenance of appropriate reporting

; T; o% Q! l% a& `• identify community needs and trends
+ s& [) P- o) o/ q7 B! z0 g• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups8 U9 H. W4 D! h/ V8 K; `
• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
( \" d# s2 P l% l$ o. ?+ T• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.! {8 x$ F1 [* p- N' h
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff% \' b u3 j( h6 }7 e% D! h

Qualifications8 h% y. d/ ~2 d% F$ p+ w! _3 v6 W
- University degree in a related field;
! e& p, L5 O: Q* t. ?# Z- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization; m8 y& G+ `7 p! l$ y5 I% j8 J
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
$ V- H( {2 X! R- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization % T! M* W% U6 j# W
/ o: s. k3 \" [+ A! i
Salary
4 m" s% P+ ^- g, F- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits % I9 c3 ]6 @2 ]8 h6 k- Z# m5 L, h4 D1 f
