•        reports directly to the Board of Directors* e- B& m7 a# b
•        is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals( _5 Z) ?) G. ~
•        is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board% ^. i& O- r$ {8 B$ z
•        assist the Board in fund development planning and implementation

•        develop, implement and manage operational and programming budgets

•        provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions

•        provide opportunities for staff development and growth, ~; y( m6 a( a, b
•        meet with staff on regular basis

Programs/Services
, C+ K  z8 x# I# m) q  m•        overall management of all agency projects/programs and services
% A0 t) x, \: t: U•        design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities. M# q# n6 H8 W  |/ {5 P& K6 w
•        prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders
9 n/ F" L. m/ ~) u•        set program priorities and directions
. D3 G( |8 i2 s: o•        identify community and user needs and trends3 a7 ^+ C/ I% A2 _" x  j
•        implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends! x3 i$ l! a* G6 U6 I
•        conduct program evaluation/survey/research$ V& z; @# \4 B  @/ {7 `" ?0 b- f
•        maintenance of appropriate reporting
3 h3 U3 o$ E% @# N  @  V( _•        delivery of program or activity to participants as required
3 e' y) y2 U- s•        build on knowledge of community resources in program development
! U6 c2 y) u4 X# Y( Z9 |/ C•        ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

External Relations
/ T& o; ^, W7 A! N5 b8 Y•        act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities. C/ E4 Y2 W: T9 P1 q. G
•        build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public  & funders1 B+ k8 {  K$ h6 s7 R
•        communicate the value of the organization to the public
4 U& C6 o7 \+ }1 s/ \3 x' v5 c•        identify community needs and trends
) z- x+ t0 i% ]. v, a0 u•        coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
# N( o, r+ o- H: Z# o•        advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
% ]& L0 M( w! N& M' t3 @•        work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.9 @2 f) S! ?& }) o1 u
•        Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff
: _( S; k% w* q; ~" Z) h/ Z$ i3 o5 r1 V" D
Qualifications
/ q3 U; h, d- d2 z. ^-        University degree in a related field; # H9 G. e7 q3 T. x/ ~6 E
-        Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;& |, [" A  P0 o/ O7 f! [  o
-        Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
; A7 m( u2 ~4 `5 |-        2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization ! r& @7 \4 P+ E

/ t% g; [, p/ n) O" ySalary
* c$ }" t! w# Z: T-        $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
; b9 C' F8 f% e6 E2 M
- j3 |& q3 o8 c4 iStandard Requirements. D8 p, q" P. K- z: u0 d/ q3 P
-        Security check ( at the expense of employee) and child welfare check
