Senior Agency/Program Manager

•        is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals
4 @) A% i, R/ J, x•        is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board
* i5 |1 Q" p! d0 T•        assist the Board in fund development planning and implementation

•        is accountable for effective administration of agency 2 \% K& m( b4 I' X$ c- Y
•        is accountable to meet community expectations and funders’ requirements
- e# i& c& ^, h/ S•        develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures
/ i) I- S, J& Q; H8 `•        development and management of the programs budget/ c% Y. K7 W" Z$ l
•        develop, implement and manage operational and programming budgets- j# N2 F0 J' \6 u9 V. b& n7 V

•        responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff$ z/ X; p8 j& X
•        provide leadership to staff and volunteers# x2 J0 i* X! S
•        provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions; K- z3 L2 ^& {5 U& Q
•        monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators
* V0 R; }# n8 g4 Q9 r& C# a•        provide opportunities for staff development and growth
9 z: r) i0 B7 S' T" v' k! K•        meet with staff on regular basis
3 J3 ~6 W6 ]/ K1 M* l•        build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff! R- u( |. b/ q$ D2 a- _

•        overall management of all agency projects/programs and services
8 A1 H8 g6 K* o5 u6 c7 P•        design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
! m& [; m) c& V7 Z•        prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders2 I# j% ?5 h# l
•        set program priorities and directions ( m: K6 R2 \4 k4 @
•        identify community and user needs and trends, ^1 G7 @' v; l- X, Q5 W6 M
•        implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends% H* h8 r. A9 d+ m" e: @
•        conduct program evaluation/survey/research  Q. j1 \7 S; [8 K9 z: }+ C
•        maintenance of appropriate reporting
* i( b0 K8 }( D% [2 d. Z7 N+ X•        delivery of program or activity to participants as required

0 N) \7 p+ x; _* E7 I+ U•        ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others) f: g4 b6 h+ |

•        act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities) `+ j, G* }4 }+ h8 m5 Q
•        build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public  & funders4 P$ G6 Y9 F, ?' u' z0 z
•        communicate the value of the organization to the public7 L" s: ?+ @, P+ x. ]8 r4 `0 K
•        identify community needs and trends4 Q1 z. N* ?0 L" o/ A+ z* |
•        coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups# g! ~( w* k# h0 v( D" z# t: g# M- n3 }
•        advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
$ z4 E& D: f' b3 `, F•        work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems., ]8 v1 \  v( ^- n
•        Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff
/ X& l" d: ?  J  }+ ], C0 V, ~9 C' M1 ]% m+ I
Qualifications% [, l7 F1 O1 F2 y3 i
-        University degree in a related field; % L4 E! U+ B( }
-        Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;2 t. l! R" T) Z* T' P
-        Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; + F% @3 `& C9 G7 `8 Q
-        2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization 3 W9 r5 M6 C3 C6 T

, ]8 `" j* J/ V1 A7 q-        $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits # f+ z( k2 o6 @3 v6 ^0 R
