Hours of Work: Full time (35 hours per week)

; D1 _1 U3 _- S5 M. s, R- submit information for community news
+ H- Q8 p- _3 w3 C0 _2 R! \9 S- provide volunteers to update membership database) m. f1 ~+ N# Q! @
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
7 l: l3 w2 \+ J# T- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
9 x2 j9 t: h' d8 Q2 r6 n; W p- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
& \& T3 J5 L* ]- y1 R; \- provide volunteers for various programs
5 d5 _/ r3 Q1 R' Q' I- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual6 g, n4 d# i- O: F& m& @: E) I8 }
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
D1 x/ ?( ^9 g7 F$ M4 @+ J- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
1 d6 d m7 l4 G4 F7 T$ B# C; J$ w- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services s8 C. K: N' h2 ^
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports8 f2 N! ]0 Q* K
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
' U+ o( d, s' S3 ]& D, i9 e- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
m9 T f; x% Z- h0 M0 n- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)( b% h- G9 w. j, V( y
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events 5 S5 @5 H" c! h5 r1 E% X
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
6 F7 Z7 r/ F5 m" u( K' R& [- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
' r2 L% g5 \3 |7 ]9 f- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers % {; r$ d+ r( l, i. k
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis ( d; u! ?4 F3 I& v7 D# K
- evaluations
; n/ |- n, X0 h. X/ f6 S! C- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre Y* L: B, S( Q* H N0 B

- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education r' h' Y, Q: N; E& q2 J+ Z- n. g
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills2 C9 N$ k. z$ D6 x
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
