Yes, 本金. Because everytime when you pay your mortgage, you pay the interest and some principal. So when you pay the lumpsum, you don't need to pay for the interest(interest is calculated by day). & t/ v/ c a' ~% D) N3 [- x0 h7 Z - b. P2 U" F' B+ ]" y* fBy the way, you don't need to pay your lumpsum till year end for some bank. Like the TD bank I use, I can prepay my mortgage any time any amount during the year.
