differential fee was increased by almost 20% last year. Add to this,

While the average cost of living for a typical graduate student has 6 u3 J/ S( b1 e. ]5 e" K- \
increased by something more than 70% percent we are getting paid
/ t- B+ }% y* Kexactly for the same amount of money that we were offered in our * N/ T' _: w7 n. e( ?
admission letter (18000 CAD + 1500 CAD for international students

tuition fee and taxes). To make the argument easy to understand just : m- O( D0 p2 r! s
imagine that a new student gets the same amount of money that I am

us) has to pay twice as much as I was paying for housing when I was + B p$ F# m; \0 _, f
admitted and has to incur at least 70% more in average living costs.

My objective in bringing all abovementioned points in your attention
6 k6 D( H: C# P( ?5 Eis to question the adequacy of financial aid for graduate and 5 G' B, v3 {1 u0 _7 _( T
especially international students. Isn抰 it time for the GSA to take+ c5 C. q1 i" s/ d( `0 j$ b
0 J) j( V/ |& X& @/ x0 H1 q: A* Ginitiative in raising the issue of increasing financial aid for
% ^+ r' m/ V" K/ y0 fgraduate students so that the can afford this increase in costs?$ @ ?6 X! T/ E
