埃得蒙顿民俗节再次来临,将于今年八月四号开始直至八月六号!为此,亚省华人毕业生协会和埃得蒙顿双语教育协会招募志愿者来协助办理.欢迎各界人士前来报名-- 来的志愿者越多,每人的工作就越少,那大家的乐趣就越多!任何职位无需经验,我们的目的是向世界宣传中国文化!去年,中国馆获得了由民俗节联合会颁发的最佳文化教育奖.6 _7 a1 V$ y( U% U
l# h9 ~# N" D. T* F% Y今年,除了原有的由民俗节为志愿者提供的13名高等教育奖学金的抽奖机会之外,亚省华人毕业生协会新增加了由中国馆提供的5名获得$100.00高等教育奖学金的抽奖机会.

此外,今年,我们还要招募舞台表演人士,无论你能表演什么,只要有东方特色就好;中国现代舞;国语,广东话或任何方言演唱;中国悠悠球(抖空竹);中国武术表演;打鼓或各类中国乐器等任何能宣传中国文化的表演.如果你有任何主意想要和我们分享,我们乐于接受.表演时间可以是几分钟至半小时.我们的舞台大小是 24’ X24’ ,能够容纳一定数量的表演者.我们有我们自己的PA系统,能够演奏你所提供的音乐.如果有需要,请预先告知我们.

The Edmonton Heritage Festival is happening again this year from August 4th to August 6th. As a result, the Chinese Graduates Association of Alberta (CGAA) and the Edmonton Chinese Bilingual Education Association (ECBEA) are looking for volunteers to help run the Chinese Pavilion! The positions open are suitable for anyone—the more volunteers, the less work for all and the bigger the fun for everyone! For all positions, no experience will be required. Our objective will be to promote Chinese culture to the world! Last year the Chinese Pavilion won the Best Cultural Education from the Heritage Festival Association!!

7 s, f5 Q( G" \7 F4 i/ v* l1 N: E3 F) l* V% T6 X
This year CGAA has added five draws for $100.00 post secondary scholarships from the Chinese Pavilion; this is in addition to the 13 draws for post secondary scholarships sponsored by the Heritage Festival for the volunteers.6 {5 M' B4 ]1 q' u
+ M# b' m* G/ Q' h5 r
. {$ ]; A+ Q+ i9 K
3 z) g8 K4 x6 k9 J4 \) wAlso, this year we are looking for performers on the Chinese Pavilion stage. Whatever your can perform with an Oriental flavor would be fine; Chinese modern dance, singing in Cantonese or Mandarin or any dialects would do; play Chinese Yo-Yo, demonstrate Martial Arts, play Chinese drums or instruments, etc.; anything to promote Chinese culture; if you have any ideas you want to share we would be happy to considered. The performance can be a few minutes to half-an hour; our stage is 24’ X24’ and can accommodate quite a few performers. We have our own PA system and can play your music. Please let me know.

i: i1 d* \) q/ w$ }; L# mI have attached a handout detailing the event and volunteer positions along with a volunteer application form. Please notify your friends of this event—it will be an excellent opportunity for them to showcase and promote Chinese culture, as well as to contribute to the community.
