( o- l% T: u8 FAudience Services: Provides information, aid and security on the site for everyone participating in the4 `( f) ~7 f& O8 E! {5 @! F
festival.8 ^; _6 {( N" S8 ^$ W
Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and5 Q( p7 \5 H7 g9 p$ N( u7 V
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
, I% U, d9 G; V0 U% cprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up. l+ ]. g/ V! G' E8 i
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
$ q( q) R+ i9 e' Z! _artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.4 I. s# I) r) w6 J
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for5 m g6 ^* r/ y5 e
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the4 L% r- g: w' r; v% ^' ^
recyclables.
) f- y. ]9 B: m# N3 hFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be! E. G$ I+ n5 n1 h, s0 }
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
, |0 U, y9 i+ x. O$ ]3 cHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing+ o% P: ~; G* _. j; g( K0 h
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late6 U# w5 V- ^' Q: g4 F+ A! z q
hours are part of this crew’s duties.
/ @1 |) @- v5 A! y9 oInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the8 l3 d: Z2 c* |: V7 L
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide5 B! J. w8 W6 o0 u" W
programs to visitors to the festival.
) V! X `7 r( \* A2 O: ~Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
; w, n% |1 \- L, }7 leveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
* f7 h+ G; ]5 eOffice: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed6 s- W* C5 n8 }. L; W1 k
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
+ U1 g! w* p3 s) E6 R" t- Ufestival.8 J" E$ T1 ?8 o/ m" L
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
1 ^: r6 q, P1 }( V2 i& M) Q8 _0 Ioperating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
$ V' b5 K( U7 @$ |" G* nare physically fit and ready for any emergency.
; L! @8 D L9 I' ^2 v, M0 FStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training& r+ }$ v6 J2 r
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.% l* w6 \6 c) r7 {
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be g0 r3 S5 V9 L6 G" N% |* F0 |' j
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as1 l# Z+ r: \8 R" v3 ]& X
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
* D! J6 n# ^; A' _" ^staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
