festival.
$ r+ {9 G/ v: f4 kBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and( D( b( S# k2 k+ X
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft: f: G5 W$ M" K R) H
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
+ @! {& k6 G' V+ [3 h4 eChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the7 v7 h7 ]( f/ y$ }( h( X
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.& w" e7 A' [0 N6 F
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
1 g8 a0 q" S9 M9 e6 Z/ wvisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the" o7 o/ y% S6 j6 c) b& x- b$ u
recyclables.
+ H6 ^8 ^ n5 Y; z# q* \, V* M- S L# cFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be& r' U- Z7 M, X' i. ]
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
* w/ P' E- B! r1 w5 N. B- jHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing( T- I1 V5 s) g& U- q. O! l
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
2 r- @; a# U! c" b4 Y) X% {. bhours are part of this crew’s duties.8 X" y7 u3 S$ l
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
/ M- H7 W4 r4 j6 j8 u% Vfestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide) g3 [: q5 l, ]
programs to visitors to the festival.3 }4 d9 R( T/ E/ l, e
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
& z* {! B/ H% a) _3 H. |" B& e) G9 Weveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.* U2 Y4 p4 D: E% M+ u& ~% S. Z7 ^
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
( [3 ^$ b. N0 {- D0 \events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
7 Y* a/ E7 h& Z/ gfestival.
: @( q$ T9 j# ?, hSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
" ^! n. h+ x4 C9 Aoperating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
7 b/ e u6 m( L+ Dare physically fit and ready for any emergency.8 @- [/ o8 ?, O! C5 R6 h) @" ~% n6 C
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training; Y6 o! A* R2 k. F- k1 n3 Z
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
7 |2 f0 d4 [: F% GTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
4 ?5 L8 g% _; m$ Arequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as( H1 q( d& A8 z9 \0 l, U8 `
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival' G9 _* ]" n& z1 P: R s
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
