The Asian Chinese Opera Association and the Hong Kong SingFai Opera
Association (Children Div.) is putting together an Opera performance at

theatre, U of Alberta, Jul. 21, Sat. at 1-4 pm.  The casts are led by 2
# A" ~' R8 w& z3 R; C4 c
instructors - Lau Wai Ming and Fong Suet Ying, both are Champions of
( H& j3 X# I) H! {( o: lthe
" |# _1 K" o/ tCantonse Opera Contest in Hong Kong and was awarded outstanding
Achievements
% y" W& j" ?- v! M8 L8 f, p+ tin Arts Education in the teacher category by the Hong Kong Arts
Development
" {9 F1 ^6 ]4 q6 F  Y% ]Council.  Children cast members are ranging from 6 - 15 years old.  The

performance will be done in English with Chinese operatic music; plus a
few
: b; @4 z7 D4 W5 }songs in well-known Cantonese Opera... The performance was done to
sold-out
