The Asian Chinese Opera Association and the Hong Kong SingFai Opera
Association (Children Div.) is putting together an Opera performance at

theatre, U of Alberta, Jul. 21, Sat. at 1-4 pm.  The casts are led by 2
% N$ R5 P8 q1 w& U' f4 j* \8 Y* e' Z
, W; P' |* x4 O7 `1 h5 B) qinstructors - Lau Wai Ming and Fong Suet Ying, both are Champions of
4 h% n( c6 }" B! Tthe
3 N, r2 W; i! l8 c6 P8 SCantonse Opera Contest in Hong Kong and was awarded outstanding
Achievements
- [2 v) R' a, E3 }in Arts Education in the teacher category by the Hong Kong Arts
Development
Council.  Children cast members are ranging from 6 - 15 years old.  The

+ u$ a: E% N# ~, Yperformance will be done in English with Chinese operatic music; plus a
few
songs in well-known Cantonese Opera... The performance was done to
! |2 ]7 y7 J, d3 ~! Usold-out
crowds in various Hong Kong venues and received rave review from the
