+ O C- M5 O! I2000. The Chief Returning Officer shall be recommended to Students'

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

@2 T; K. [1 ~' `1) To run the elections as per Bylaws 2000

2) To run referenda/plebiscites as per Bylaw 2000.

3) To choose the Deputy Returning Officer(s) and assign their duties.# l- A- e; t1 B% K5 f1 F$ t2 {' ^* u
3 G8 i! v, y0 o# ]4) To organize polls during elections/referenda, including appointing
& J1 `0 G- Q- e# g7 fadequate poll staff and situating polls at appropriate locations
; R" w9 j- S3 }( Cacross campus, and advertising the poll locations.

5) To oversee the physical count of the ballots during elections/

To enforce budgetary regulations as stipulated in the Elections

11) To act as the arbitrator in any dispute which may arise during ! g2 S: F; \& o0 [, h, k. [+ C+ ~1 a
the course of an election/referendum.

- C. }( t0 O8 B12) To ensure that a cost effective and accurate ballot counting

13) To submit to Students' Council, prior to April 30, a final report & G! f; j9 o! } B' ~0 {; }

14) To organize a minimum of one (1) forum to be held during the week ) {7 {! y7 i0 _. O' d3 J
of campaigning.

15) Perform other job related duties as required by the Council

QUALIFICATIONS:

c- a6 O4 z$ o" ` \for each of the terms of Winter Session and shall be a full Students'

2) Must have some experience in student elections.: g! Y7 y% k, D$ t

3) Shall not concurrently hold a position on Students' Council, or

4) Willingness and ability to work varying hours.
