DOORPERSON (RATT)

JOB SUMMARY: The Doorperson is responsible to the Operations Manager
(s) (RATT) and will enforce AGLC regulations and Students' Union/RATT  
policies.  Protects patrons, staff and property of the Students´ Union.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Check identification to ensure patrons are of legal drinking age  
0 G; _- z, h# h5 B8 [5 [and are University affiliated.

  [  r: r( H- E0 D7 `/ Q* d2) Crowd control, ensuring maximum occupant load is not exceeded.

6 R$ a) X$ e* W9 y$ F3) Assists servers with bussing tables and keeping floor areas free  
) H1 F2 o! Q4 Zof garbage.
& ]/ k. C2 ^0 Y# z% ~, `$ r
% n  e" Z1 J6 s& o5 k4) Patrols the area observing patron behavior, preventing over-
: [8 m8 X& m" D( I! s9 f: aconsumption of alcohol,  altercations, theft and vandalism.

# p* z8 T' `: s/ L% Z3 a5 L5) Assists bartenders by stocking supplies and monitoring bar service

6) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations

QUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2 {" G) r7 L0 D7 X  p* H2) Ability to deal appropriately and effectively with a large variety  
of patrons and/or possible negative situations.  To be able to work  
% U) C& N6 d$ @1 scalmly under extremely stressful conditions.

$ K8 t; X3 Z  u9 ^  _8 V3) Excellent work habits, appearance and personal hygiene.

1 U! F7 ?0 d( u3 a1 [" x% }4) Must be physically capable.

5) Ability to deal effectively with staff, students and the general  
public.

Wage: $7.73/hour + gratuities

Shift: 6 - 12 hours per week, 7pm - 1am Fridays and Saturdays
