ACTION FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES (AHC) is recruiting students (preferably members of a visible minority community and/or of a Disability community) for the following summer position: Community Initiatives Documenter. We are a non-profit community development organization operating in central Edmonton. We promote community inclusion as a strategy for increasing citizenship participation and action.

Community Initiatives Documenter
' t/ v4 o, j. zThe CI Documenter will contact and meet leaders of 30 Community Initiatives (mini-projects) to discuss and document their progress to date, facilitate a planning process for each CI to sustain their outcomes, and create a final document analyzing CI trends, strengths, learnings and plans.

Education Background: Health Promotion, Sociology, or related Social/Human Sciences field.

. t, j# n% j/ W/ T6 ]0 I1.        Full-time college or university student, under 30 years of age before and after the position and not attending full-time classes while participating in their placement.
& i6 A8 L: {  K. @8 R2.        Legally entitled to work according to relevant federal and provincial legislation and regulations.
$ V0 l& E6 `! n0 Z/ Y9 L, ~4 r3.        Good organizational and verbal and written communication skills.
" o6 G; C- O* c* j1 V- \0 d- ?; I4.        Team player and also able to work independently. Able to deal proactively with change and achieve goals through coordination with other people.
