The Organization: Harcourt House Arts Centre is an artist-run, charitable non-profit organization that promotes contemporary visual art to interested individuals/organizations by providing education, exhibitions & resources.

Position Abstract: position was created to expand awareness/participation in Harcourt House Arts Centre art ed. programs, as well as to create accessible programming for children/youth to enhance our existing art education and enrichment activities.

$ F+ F$ O i% [% aTasks & Responsibilities: to run the 2007 Art Expressed summer art camp from July - August 2007. This initiative will be a continuation of last year's program and involves initial development, marketing plan, co-ordinating logistics, designing/preparing the art education brochure, day to day administration, taking registrations/payments, scheduling and running the art activities & day camp promotions.4 y$ @" ^' l# W" u% k% Z) `2 g! ^$ ~
' H+ D$ k' E/ ^1 u3 o# J* H* O. EPLUS: continued on-site liaisons with Harcourt staff/instructors to ensure smooth operations. And, reporting to the Art Education Manager/Executive Director, assisting with duties involving Harcourt's year-round community art education program.& _1 s! |3 ], H
8 l2 b6 @: m0 M' \- A( kSuccessful Candidate: Experience in teaching visual arts, or with administering an arts program. Position will require an ability to work independently, as well as being part of a team. This person should be familiar with the Public School Education system & have an interest in curriculum requirements (visual arts). 0 e. c4 p7 ]" A8 k( p0 e* u) v) x

Qualifications/Skills: currently enrolled in, planning to attend, or recently graduated from related post-secondary education or training; computer literate/able to work in a MAC environment, write copy for promotions and design promotional materials; creativity is essential; experience working with children an asset.
