through Friday

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
8 y3 m8 x9 {1 ^/ ~% y  j0 rOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
/ V, c$ [9 s4 B! W; x6 [procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
cleanliness and order in the bar.

9 E) K% \  O9 a0 @3 tDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  Q- G* c; P( w# |0 B* i5 }  l6 T1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
) M  Y) s0 S1 J9 d2 Wbeverage items.

' J6 G# @9 s. d3 K) m. x; p2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
! V, i$ x$ H$ W9 T% _5 gbar and debit floats.
( L; N' Z7 \3 ^2 I# k1 O( E
* }8 W1 u3 t- L4 @3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
each shift, and upon closing.

7 }0 n- }; F$ f9 o- ?$ d4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
+ G6 `+ ?1 G2 L2 q1 Wseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
: X0 F+ V- _% a% nstorage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.
+ l* {( O% g* J) ~2 O
+ T! R" [" ~6 H$ e6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
; R6 N- _) M- C( D' Thigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
: p+ `. a1 T0 m2 z3 Fhigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
3 t3 s( T, ~5 y" v% p9 Z+ A! S/ wAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

2 g4 ~( z+ _, i/ ^2 E% V* I( d9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
' L4 q5 A  X! ?/ T0 hSenior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

# L5 K4 Z9 g$ v' G- q! {2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
operation.

3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
/ O) T( Z; A7 F! t4 \. t7 Caccordance with Students' Union policy.

% _; z  Z# r7 P. t! Q- ~4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.
3 ~# h: F: `9 _) t* i" _
  Q- Y5 @+ w3 h$ J9 c$ U4 e) y5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
0 K" s4 [" j( hUnion staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  
attitude.
