22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday  / ?  h1 Y3 @4 u( e. |( Z
through Friday

  n" z0 y. I* A( y% r# Q/ aJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
* K' d6 R3 W: F4 }5 O& c( vOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the    h! e% _8 _7 |, Q" S% r
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  1 S( X1 |# M; z1 J, P
cleanliness and order in the bar." V" R( ]: W% ?7 [9 d! K( w* A
& a1 [) r3 D' m, v- f
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- W. b: a7 f- }6 z% |1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
. \) Q' a% `0 \4 K+ j  Cbeverage items.5 D! t0 |0 _# P! Z3 b
, t0 q& Q# W/ n( k5 a9 d
2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
& O9 U, E. P* R3 ~1 O( P; Q. Lbar and debit floats.* ?0 }8 @# ]4 D0 N( n' T* t
" r" L6 A( Q5 @( L
3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
8 T, [7 J/ H$ }8 C9 Y7 meach shift, and upon closing.
# F& H! [9 Y6 m* K# _5 h8 E  G2 B9 o, e# ~' `
4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
  I4 Y2 |0 T" m# t1 k1 Yattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  5 Q/ G! f1 c  k0 T$ X& F- I
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

) R; @5 c/ {( C, z  u5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
* Z" I6 ]4 W0 J7 zstorage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  4 W' z4 V  X% U
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift., _, A& S: s1 F5 }/ Q5 q

. O: q! D5 r. {6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  6 O% @% o- i0 U  h! R3 J; Q# K
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  2 F) A( j4 v# O( _* P# z1 d
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
  D  f* s$ t& H7 K# Laccordance with Students' Union policies.

, C, n: J+ g! @, R# d7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  * d+ x/ }# G8 k* c
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
8 z4 ^7 A8 _/ q1 f( [5 h To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  % u7 c. v. C1 Z( j
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.' M1 @# X( N& R$ c  N

9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
9 M; Z5 A% I# D+ KSenior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.3 U8 X- Z, R2 \0 W& u' D

2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
- h6 q  s  _% _( K( W, `9 joperation.! ~1 a5 `& Y- |: O& Y4 Y

7 _  c  w# z, M3 u0 k3 i3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
* u2 K: F2 u4 m2 S  \+ S2 }  ^accordance with Students' Union policy.) I0 ]7 X% |1 N) q2 I  L) h
0 W+ Z7 H2 v2 C
4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.& ~, @2 \) g0 O* a3 R$ m
