22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday  
through Friday

: L+ M+ b2 l3 ?7 U" N1 V* ~4 Z  ]JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
( s# \$ R8 j, icleanliness and order in the bar.

. E+ T, o  f0 Z7 H6 hDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
( G9 W6 x+ R* Z# X5 \* p& f& l6 D# Qbeverage items.
' f9 U; B$ T2 A8 K2 g: R2 f3 d
2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
% A+ m! a6 Y, xbar and debit floats.
% B  X  `! Q- h5 i( x4 J6 O7 N
5 _- J- |. m( ^2 c7 Q: t0 e' O3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
# k" C) C) ]  s$ J& j  A& Teach shift, and upon closing.

/ o1 h3 }: b; G4 B  T. a' h7 U; A* r4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
  V5 z- S9 s; iattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
7 T4 q# Q) Y! `# [5 jseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

0 c' @6 _  x7 i; a6 y5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
; a  i4 A4 S4 h0 gstorage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
4 m+ }3 N) C4 l3 _, E# oproducts, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* l) E6 G% r; C3 Z% [! t1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
operation.

7 G4 w3 ]; Q9 l8 B7 q3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
9 a% M4 D  @5 f3 g8 aaccordance with Students' Union policy.

4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

! R" p8 E# }+ a3 }. B& O2 g* g5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
& e9 C6 I6 ?9 sUnion staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic

purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
