11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and  
Thursdays

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
( Y% H# ^. @# vBartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
3 C  ~2 g# y; Xcustomer service and room cleanliness.

; t5 V: c1 m% A$ Q3 c' z: F
5 b- A6 f5 c+ DDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.
' ^5 X6 T+ T7 O+ h: B
2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

0 J4 _9 G- W3 Q" b2 L1 ?3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
2 y2 ^: l- x$ ?. A7 p) Gtotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
+ Q0 f; M* U+ \3 w+ cincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.
) y6 W, L; X! r8 ~  ?
8 H: }2 R$ D- ^5 j. X8 j8 Q9 ?5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
: p- }+ z3 O7 I0 h; aintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
5 S9 g9 @- r* B/ W5 I9 y& A( f, f( g6 ]6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
& u) b! l& u0 E& yAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

: d; Y6 x: G, }# _7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
  c' T; C8 G/ i6 P1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

4 ~- X; u2 b. ^3 ~' e; Q2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
% F' a- Y- J* h4 }1 u8 F/ A  roperation.

3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.
8 P$ `3 ]3 N& B, B$ W; a
4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.
/ K* U8 M7 n; c9 G  u! x7 c/ d
5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
) o3 S  ~: B' ?3 L% }professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
0 i. e% s( J5 I' X: I" Xpurchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
