11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and

: p& A, E6 f! Q7 K5 s0 a0 F& h8 jJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
; R/ M" z& L& I8 E3 g7 W; aBartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

- f4 ^9 u; k9 z$ F+ H- X/ hDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1 [3 `6 H. C7 }' t4 Q+ J, ?1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.
3 ~0 Q& Z* Q+ q3 n$ x' {& v2 E! ]
5 l7 a- C( q- P) t( B6 r  a; R  k2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
% o+ ?' G1 E( z3 e7 N# Vhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.
% R& z- Z  L+ [" T! [& y
3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
: ]- l7 l& m' P' x! W: ototal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
% |. Z1 H! V: A) Yincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
% @8 k8 q* w$ R7 z" }7 Uintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6 c9 D$ N+ \% C2 A+ x& d6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
- G4 D' O. b6 n" x8 m! gAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

+ C. j: Y) u* p6 [' B$ F& O9 n5 ~7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.

/ R/ [# ?" `5 @% VQUALIFICATIONS;
. H, p' \) c: ^1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
; W/ ?' `, j' S' G/ n& b$ O3 t- q
2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.
; X' S/ Y0 R/ I* r+ U  o- `
! j- n  a& C$ B& a8 z3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
: n- ?6 @! K; [4 H4 }, s! _policy.

4 i# u6 Q- p* K& c9 V. `: J4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.
  T8 O' G/ e' f5 t" q4 }% p
5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
. q- s  f. t  }+ r: D7 tprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.
