Salary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat

1 q( a# C6 O- x( c: E" ~7 m. NHours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
* ~% _$ E/ \: s4 Q  a/ g- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
school year starts.

/ p1 Z1 C4 _, hDuties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
. j3 [+ \, l/ m3 J  jtheir program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
: C. U. l; I/ j" C" Uassisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
% e3 W3 I2 {, a8 W0 p" ]venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
, L9 K% ~' {, V5 qexcursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
1 C6 J" h& v5 i- V- }excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
  g* O# \( _+ |+ vfunctions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
, E5 F# H: z0 Z: l2 ^( f7 asuch as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
. @& c9 I, e* w! K% s% n, G" Jpresentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

1 l( s+ U0 J+ b# o2 IQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
& C& \$ d7 `3 f* t8 L" d7 cCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
' j* ?2 ~! r: P; ^& S- Vfluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
! f; |& k( M; ^/ z! H+ j/ v/ Edemonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
& H( p$ t  z2 \8 i! m. m8 Qof co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
7 n/ R) r2 n4 C% j/ x0 Wexperience coordinating group activities an asset.
