Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 305 u0 z( D6 W$ M, W- I; l
- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for( `. a& x+ f* P( u. I! n, G$ P
the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the& S- K. t8 P$ C* c) v

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
i+ U O/ k _1 F1 s, KCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
9 f# J; f& z* o6 y) R8 \2 x$ S& Avenues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,5 T! p2 w( _5 G9 y
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
" }) k; N" h1 U# Y, ?participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and6 K' k8 c- k8 M
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during7 U& m8 A" P9 Z3 q( ~* v
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,4 u" ~8 W1 Q6 w1 B8 {9 N
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking& r6 _& u- m: h; z R
venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
2 K4 v. J) y" x+ n+ K* Youtings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city5 U4 m+ \8 D8 L' H' W# y+ ^3 g1 ^
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night

functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents/ X: K- C9 f1 N% K" O
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint

1 S% m6 u6 q1 ^( uQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
% d) R* c. g$ ^7 n; i* i; k! |Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
- t8 M* Q0 ^1 d0 P+ Mfluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,9 A$ X8 p% J- E$ V6 W+ |& E
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
( D6 L" K3 [8 `1 wa variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those6 h9 X$ @1 B" {* [
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management+ [ D% l$ P5 x# c) S& v4 f2 F
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,, {& m" F# @4 z7 b
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
