% R ^! W0 Q4 c. i3 ?- BStatistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and
$ {' e! T4 @/ T Yweekend hours., r6 s. z" [; O- ]
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
g% L: R% e7 O4 flab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the# y, O! L0 G3 W! Z
centre.
: J- h! ^8 B, I2 ]These responsibilities include:# o7 j b1 R: [
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
, ?5 R+ s, g6 J* ?-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP., f: |3 @/ e% ` M F
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and/ y6 r* j( F, N4 W1 a# T# F0 }. @
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
4 h4 m& M2 e/ T! O# f1 lfacilities’ maintenance, etc.
% a) x5 X( N0 K-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic
$ n! O/ Z. L3 x; V" kclients’ files etc. * y; ]4 H6 \8 j, Z0 N9 a' E

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, : j; b( a, |% E; P+ I
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
" }% f: @. j$ N& A' W0 z4 Vof education, training and /or experience.
& ~, Y5 _0 A( M) h4 ]& p/ B: ~( CKnowledge/Technical competencies:7 O8 o& E- y" z/ p n! y
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.9 F8 ?5 @; g$ F
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word+ ~2 y) P/ l5 b# Z, ?2 P+ _0 |

-Experience using and updating an information database.

-Experience in using MS Access.
