Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

3 H- C- g! e  Z2 v" {9 e. w- r; r# m. q· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

7 W+ V! W- j1 p, x8 y  m/ s  W- h· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

# A# j- @& ?4 @9 i· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

· Operate manual and automatic shifts

+ f. B5 N! V$ \3 F· Secure loads safely
& r# R  ?% [! g0 H& ]  N
% F( `( [, F' w9 u- A· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements
% r) I* P- f$ d5 E
* A8 e* Z9 N- [· Minimum 3 years experience
6 {- j; x4 w0 e3 y* O" F
3 R# ]- J0 b" w$ G* x: P6 q( J7 A5 w· Valid Class 1 license

· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

1 f8 N9 Q) j: h% O9 C! z2 J· Load securement certification
0 u3 ?& L5 j: y8 r
$ d& U8 }( x" m3 ?( N9 M· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

- e# D' [! }3 ?! A0 i8 v8 ]· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

& i& ^2 R7 ^& c, @· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac
