As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:
! k2 o/ Z ]4 [# W6 W4 K- N7 D& ~) q |" P. P t# c+ @6 c3 u
- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved. / z* c2 |3 G6 {4 S" W9 Z4 o" }. k
- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants. , B( b+ z+ _6 a9 P
- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators. # H9 Q8 F1 r& k9 ~
- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures. + s- t) Y- S4 T5 t$ ~* l/ |: y. S
- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. 2 S. A# p0 w- D' U
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). ; O* s$ w) ]( Z; s% ?5 h
- Managing shift expense budgets. ; R: l. L( V; S- `7 N7 g( b1 A2 ^

Experience and Education Requirements
) R: |: u8 @ B: v. @+ ^6 l' A" c
- Y) D% p l% b- Previous supervisory experience
" V4 w5 l* }( h& K3 a- P+ M7 R- Strong leadership skills : m$ F4 @: z7 H4 W/ |$ n
- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
/ d: s# ~7 d; e( s; p: l- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
4 C, i/ G3 y6 f0 w q! h- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations
/ u% D( B ?/ h0 Q- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.) \1 r: H) c3 r( F. ~% ~
