As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:( {! j9 T# k j- s
3 {2 g& f, l/ E# ~9 t( N6 ~ e
- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved. * Y6 x9 }$ a# [; e! [
- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
. Z) ?8 D7 q5 ]9 M2 F9 K7 q- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
+ B2 v8 e/ e4 O7 Y9 J3 y- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
% m O9 Q/ f9 d2 O/ I4 [8 i- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence.
3 ]3 n% A; x- Y7 a# e; O1 N; D- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction).

Experience and Education Requirements& W* u* c2 _( X# X9 l2 W+ D

- Previous supervisory experience
) z1 n$ g" H3 s* i# w% F% n- Strong leadership skills
' h. j: A9 `5 i" ^1 e9 q9 H2 t" L- A minimum of grade 12 diploma ; D/ I* R0 [% X9 D
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills ) t) H: K% W6 D5 B) z: f6 @" b
- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations
3 P* J0 e5 Q B4 n; @- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
