As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:
' ?# M2 @% V1 f6 b8 l/ }" `* e
; V0 C7 W/ S& `. ?, {" T- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
3 ~, q+ `( v5 E( }. L' J- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
% U" @$ w' M5 d5 q) P" n! L, R* J- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators. 1 c9 I8 ?9 s1 A+ O
- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
% T5 D6 B$ x0 [) p, g- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. ! A: a9 }1 x: Y* o( D o
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). * i# Q* G) g# l! C6 u: z+ v: E
- Managing shift expense budgets. : i" m6 \9 [7 R- W! k
- _( R+ p2 J* I. C; aExperience and Education Requirements% q7 T( s/ @+ @( p: [; J' f
: I4 n: O1 H2 ~" C1 Y7 j5 e- Previous supervisory experience ; i a/ Z6 @3 W6 X- `$ ]
- Strong leadership skills / ^ E; a. B( S, l' @% p i& x
- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
% O% k, C, M2 c5 \/ `- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
8 u9 b0 C5 T. q1 H- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations 7 v: f; c7 I4 _6 F3 e a
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
