As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:& x! D3 t7 v8 q3 X7 x% L
/ d$ Q/ ?0 V' Y5 ?) \5 G; l/ |( V- L' M- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
! d. `- h1 w( ?2 g5 k- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants. ; ], _ o8 S& t. F0 q( r. _0 [
- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
; z( [* C5 {3 ]+ I; |" v- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures. . _1 d6 |) x8 y. V S" o1 Y
- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. - t; I& T5 r5 B/ ]9 Y1 d
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). 8 w; E( S; v3 x& [- _
- Managing shift expense budgets. # H6 O1 A/ T2 Q' q: ~& O. B8 H$ q

- Previous supervisory experience 1 K3 a+ t: o$ @! C6 _
- Strong leadership skills + t% l- a+ r0 I; z+ R ?
- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
2 u7 M9 K z1 g, a6 z- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills 8 u, _, i; z* p: ^
- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations
& e9 G% H4 |. }9 D7 e- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
