亚省医生投票赞成提高费用的草案

# k5 Z# r. {; ^: E; WEDMONTON (CP) - A tentative deal that would see Alberta doctors receive their first fee increase in almost a year-and-a-half should help retain physicians in the booming province, but it won't necessarily improve patient care, says the president of the Alberta Medical Association. + B1 }! d* S" ]5 ?( f

"It will keep physicians hopefully in this province. It will hopefully attract more physicians to this province and therefore has the potential to improve care," Dr. Gerry Kiefer said at a news conference Saturday. 7 m( [& }7 {6 X8 A* I

"But to say that any fiscal agreement is going to improve that care would be making a huge assumption."
