Today I was volunteering at a post office. A man in an old jacket with uncombed hair came to the counter. He had a wallet in his hand, and put it on the counter. He told me: 8 _% S8 D1 ]8 ?) |2 E$ i
"I am going to send it back".
' S2 E" D4 ]! Y' l5 {I did not understand what he meant by "it", because usually people would send a letter or a parcel back to the sender, and I did not see he had any of those. So I asked him:& d: Q$ C" e, q/ u
"I am sorry, what are you sending back?"
3 K3 R, L4 ]9 B( ~4 A# e: \He said, "the Wallet, I am sending back the wallet." Then he added: "I am going to pay the postage."
9 K7 O7 V1 F$ Z"Oh, you found a wallet, and you are going to send it back to the person who lost it?"
" K- w O, A7 E* v. r"Yes, I did."
' o7 P$ y$ o0 n n6 F3 SFinally I understood: this dishevelled man found a wallet, and he was going to return it to the owner by post. / P* _- m8 o- k
He took the ID card from the wallet, and showed me the address of the loser of the wallet. I saw there were several one-hundred bills in the wallet.
6 q* B5 r1 H8 V! J- A; A"Are you going to take some money from the wallet to pay the postage?"
2 L. S/ ?0 }, q4 L# N/ [& S$ A"No, I am not. I do not do those things."
+ z8 E" I8 d' C8 F. `. |He took out his wallet, which was nearly worn-out, small, and almost empty. There were some coins inside.
/ U( a. [1 K5 `2 R4 SI gave him a bubbled envelope, and instructed him where to write the addresses. He wrote the owner's address, but stopped at writing a return address. He asked:

"Yes, you may." I thought he must want to be a nameless hero. But he said:

He did not look up, and said: "I do not have a home."
. B8 }; k( ~, b8 UMy heart had a sudden jump. I realized that this is a homeless man who found money but was sending it back to the person who lost it.
; ]9 U* n, X: W6 M/ @7 KHe did not a posses a home, but he had a big heart. He had the precious fortune of being a man of integrity. 9 z, C% [& @: P0 t. Y7 F. }
