Today I was volunteering at a post office. A man in an old jacket with uncombed hair came to the counter. He had a wallet in his hand, and put it on the counter. He told me: 1 D% C( b/ N, [0 N6 m: a
"I am going to send it back".
5 |4 A) x# I7 B5 _- x$ P# BI did not understand what he meant by "it", because usually people would send a letter or a parcel back to the sender, and I did not see he had any of those. So I asked him:
! @: m! Z2 \ |) Q$ a s "I am sorry, what are you sending back?"
0 K2 s& ~" p- l" r; s+ S3 h$ tHe said, "the Wallet, I am sending back the wallet." Then he added: "I am going to pay the postage." + {: |" Z$ Y f9 N9 B
"Oh, you found a wallet, and you are going to send it back to the person who lost it?" & N5 @" _1 o% r" f3 L$ h# ~ M
"Yes, I did."
& N5 p2 |+ B( z1 a2 d" \Finally I understood: this dishevelled man found a wallet, and he was going to return it to the owner by post.
& l* Q6 ?+ A2 k* iHe took the ID card from the wallet, and showed me the address of the loser of the wallet. I saw there were several one-hundred bills in the wallet.

"No, I am not. I do not do those things."

I gave him a bubbled envelope, and instructed him where to write the addresses. He wrote the owner's address, but stopped at writing a return address. He asked:$ N) x, P) d. n0 e* U- W

"Yes, you may." I thought he must want to be a nameless hero. But he said:: e9 V2 y! Q J: E

I was surprised: "oh, where do you live?"

My heart had a sudden jump. I realized that this is a homeless man who found money but was sending it back to the person who lost it. 4 h: U: u! y" v9 V) l4 }
He did not a posses a home, but he had a big heart. He had the precious fortune of being a man of integrity. % h7 T, j' s+ ~. k* ?+ n
