Additional Academic Requirements that may be completed after applying to the program:

  l! d" b3 x  y3 S3 [2 v5 d: Z2 z    5 or more credits of post-secondary Human Anatomy and Physiology or Human Physiology completed within 5 years of the application deadline with a final grade of 60% or greater. The NAIT Continuing Education Course that meets this prerequisite requirement is ANPH100 Anatomy and Physiology.
    1 credit of post-secondary Medical Terminology completed within the last 5 years of the application deadline with a final grade of 60% or greater OR completion of NAIT's Medical Terminology challenge examination with a minimum 60% pass. You can take ITMS100 - Medical Terminology to meet this prerequisite requirement.

NOTE: It is not a requirement for the 2 post-secondary pre-requisites of Human Anatomy & Physiology and Medical Terminology to be completed by the application deadline; however, proof of course completion with a passing grade of at least 60% MUST be submitted to the student application file by July 31st . In addition, applicants who are placed in the hold file for potential late acceptance into the program must also provide documented proof of completion of these 2 post-secondary pre-requisites to their NAIT application file by July 31st.

ANPH100 - Anatomy and Physiology
Course Overview
This course covers all major elements of the human body. Students develop an understanding of the structure and function of organs in the human body including body systems. A study of basic chemical principles and pathology is introduced. Students learn how body systems work together to maintain homeostasis.
