We are currently seeking detail oriented person based in Edmonton to fill the role of Junior Accountant.9 h) p( X. z# e H- T; X6 a

POSITION: Junior Accountant

DUTIES:

! ?) Q9 a$ d/ v/ q! Z+ Y& @, |• Answering to the Company Controller, the candidate will assist with invoicing, payables, cash receipts and disbursements, account reconciliation, and G/L entries.
, ]7 {0 J+ C0 m" g1 w( L5 B/ ~• Candidate will also be responsible for filing, verifying vendor invoices, and various reporting tasks as required.7 K6 v% _. g% `* _& M7 e; j
• Candidate will communicate between various departments, including sales, logistics and production to ensure that operations are running as cost-effectively as possible
) e" i0 P/ {' s• Various administrative and order processing duties as required.. c1 E" G% R; d- `9 e& y
6 c* n2 I4 [( e% T) JREQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 1-year of experience in Accounting or Accounts Receivable/Payable role
7 g$ X/ l ]5 I/ H* N5 o0 U* y& ~• Post-secondary degree or diploma in an Accounting or Finance related field of study
, _: t7 e& |0 e6 m! }/ `$ Y2 C" z• Aggressive self-starter with excellent organizational and time-management skills& l8 F( `# J& S! A
• Must be highly detail oriented with strong grasp of numbers, W ?2 Z6 j1 i' }2 |8 }
• Strong computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, data entry)9 J g6 d* Y6 H3 U" g$ n
