We're a small software development company focused on the aircraft maintenance industry. Our customers are typically government or military, both foreign and domestic. We are located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This is an "on site" position in Edmonton. No telecommuting applicants will be considered.

We're expanding, and we're looking for a person to be part of our software development group. You will have a positive attitude, and thrive on working as part of a coordinated team. The team you will be a part of will be directly involved in the design, development, and maintenance of various database products, of various vintages, and various technologies. Self discipline in following basic trouble shooting techniques is mandatory. Team members routinely rely on each other for assistance if a task is beyond the abilities of a single member. Team members display a high degree of persistence in their effort to solve problems. Team members often find themselves in widely varied roles, including programmer, trouble shooter, researcher, investigator, designer, presenter, teacher and student. Team members take pride in producing reliable, easy to use, high performance products, regardless of the vintage of the technology. You must fit well into this team.

g W8 h- m" l# R" VThe technologies currently in use are: Delphi, Interbase, Oracle, MS SQL Server, SAP, HTML, XML, and various web technologies.& R8 @- J4 |9 s& a8 v8 ]9 W* @5 _
9 }3 ^( X7 o) b' XWe need a person who is at least at the intermediate programmer level in one of the above or closely related technologies. We will be imminently moving into modern web-based database front ends, but at the same time, we need someone who can work on outdated products such as Oracle presentation layer technologies./ F( j( D/ C1 ?0 v2 @+ f+ B
# A9 |* q( |; J8 POur team is currently implementing ISO/IEC 12207. You will work under the direction of the company software development team leader, salary range is between $45,000 and $65,000 per annum and a security background check is a must.# b* ^/ d8 t5 L+ t
