From your description, I suspect that the leakage should be attended as soon as practicable, because prolonged leak could lead to depletion of transmission fluid that can eventually fail it. Adding tranny fluid is as simple as finding the transmission dip stick for old cars. Some newer vehicles have sealed transmission and it's a daunting task to add fluid (you have to use a pump if you DIY). I would go to the piblic library or google it to find the location of the tranny dipstick first if I want to do it myself. Good luck buddy |
