EDMONTON — The West Edmonton Mall has reopened after police investigated a suspicious package Tuesday morning.

The item, which turned out to be a DVD player, was reported to police just after 8:30 a.m. and officers swooped in to shut down entrances to the shopping centre.# S ^0 P/ w" h7 k" H
: a0 h8 Y3 \2 e+ PPolice evacuated the mall, and a short time later determined the package was merely a DVD player left on a bench outside the SportCheck store.
