An ATV crash in western Manitoba has left a woman dead and a man, who was knocked into spillway, missing and presumed drowned. CBC's Nelly Gonzalez reports. ; m; e: p7 F( d

! u/ f/ K& b+ D' B! f, @7 KAccording to RCMP, a 58-year-old woman tried to drive an ATV down an embankment by the Rivers Reservoir spillway, just before 8:30 p.m. on July 12.. [* K/ t6 t1 d! n2 A( r0 U
; o2 U, K" w- V1 L( rShe lost control of the machine and hit a 39-year-old man, who was fishing. The woman, from the town of Rivers, was pronounced dead at the scene.5 M) l, o0 ?3 \

The man, from Brandon, was knocked into the fast-moving water and disappeared. Rescue efforts failed to locate the man, who is presumed drowned.8 [8 Y) @) J" g

Search efforts and the investigation into the incident are both ongoing, RCMP said.

% z' L' e( ]5 U2 Z8 @$ UA Brandon man is presumed drowned after he was knocked into the fast-moving waters of the Rivers Reservoir Spillway on July 12 by a woman on an ATV.
