Position Title: Community Development Worker
1 A9 L& w" r4 T  t5 n  @# ?Hours of Work: 17.5 hours per week
+ S$ A8 d# K4 FKey Responsibilities
-community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
- y1 j- b* q' A-workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
-fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
( v& S6 b; a4 T! V, W3 n-develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
-coordinate and send out quarterly newsletter to members
-assist in special events coordinating: Open House, AGM, Volunteer Appreciation, etc.
* a" t: ]' D* ^6 Q-participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
-demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
# C* C- \. s2 a9 R8 F5 _2 A+ m6 R3 a4 x-participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
-write quarterly and final reports for ISP
-assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
-update membership database
-work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
-degree in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
7 B) Z$ q9 t0 T& U. s" N. I$ @2 E-good oral and written Chinese and English skills
-experience in community work and immigrant services
