Engineer report和home inspection是一回事吗

最近要买一个房子，因为房子属于在小山丘上地势是斜的，所以中介建议做个engineering report，但是他又说和home inspection不一样。
& z+ a8 ~% O$ b  r1 y) {3 D+ R新手买房，求大神们指导一下，或者推荐一下分别做这两个项目的公司或个人

兩碼子事， engineer report需要有資歷之工程師檢測簽核; home inspection, not officially governed, IMHO, not necessarily a must, often a waste of money.

什么样的公司可以做engineer report? 朋友有没有推荐的？

Engineering report sounds like a geotechnical investigation to me, involving bore holes at your site.

Y3 ^8 @, Y$ @& f& eSome builders do provide this report.  Engineers would use the bore holes information to recommend the type of foundation for a house.  Usually houses in here are on spread footings, but it is not uncommon that some of they are on piles where at the unstable soil conditions.

  s, W" y' t$ A7 B有的 inspector 考个证混饭吃。 好多东西都不懂。壁炉开关不敢碰，问其好使不，说不清楚。锅炉说年头

老，要换...， 有没有问题不知道。

4 w, {9 O8 f3 X5 U怕得罪realtor, 不按事实写报告，可能认为我们不懂英语。当我们指出后，说钱可以不要了。

2 L( ?+ K8 g( b$ H1 m* M% N: W7 D细节就不说了。建议找个懂结构的Inspector.
