Engineer report和home inspection是一回事吗

最近要买一个房子，因为房子属于在小山丘上地势是斜的，所以中介建议做个engineering report，但是他又说和home inspection不一样。
1 N' Z7 F! f$ c7 k# e" [新手买房，求大神们指导一下，或者推荐一下分别做这两个项目的公司或个人

Engineering report sounds like a geotechnical investigation to me, involving bore holes at your site.
3 K$ b% j3 r# R2 o8 ]2 I1 L6 f+ rSome builders do provide this report.  Engineers would use the bore holes information to recommend the type of foundation for a house.  Usually houses in here are on spread footings, but it is not uncommon that some of they are on piles where at the unstable soil conditions.

" n# P" w2 \' y' F怕得罪realtor, 不按事实写报告，可能认为我们不懂英语。当我们指出后，说钱可以不要了。

( ^6 D# s1 q2 D细节就不说了。建议找个懂结构的Inspector.
