Job Description:

• Support capital projects and network build activity with coordination, installation, and commissioning duties • Respond to corrective network problems, performing effective/efficient problem analysis, rapid troubleshooting diagnosis and prompt repair of equipment to ensure service restoral objectives are met.

8 q2 t; M- d, I4 x' ^; G9 i, ^, h• Coordinate with other Technicians and departments as required to obtain maintain service levels.

• Plan for and implement preventive maintenance routines to ensure network standards of performance are met.

+ H( O! }& n) y: V" [4 Y• Perform cutovers and upgrades on the network as directed by work orders.

4 X. O$ k' ~% Y: S) C2 |* y• Maintain "up-to-date" site documentation as outlined by the EWO initiative.

• Perform acceptance tests on newly installed sites and equipment to ensure results meet design specifications.

* u. i2 L- U, X• Microwave and Transmission experience (e.g. DS1, DS2 ,DS3, OC3, OC12, IP) • Gain in depth knowledge of key quality service indicators in geographic area of responsibility.

• Optical Fiber, SONET and knowledge of TCP/IP • Participate in retune activities associated with network optimization and build activities.

• Maintain inventory of required parts and perform regular audits to ensure availability of parts.

9 i2 S. Q1 N* x4 l• Administrative reporting of Mileage, Timesheet, Expenses, Equipment and Deficiency ticket updates etc.

9 o  Y) c* s+ D' t4 g• Test hand-offs, RSSI, transmit level on mobiles, dropped calls and investigate any changes.

• Document activities for future assessment analysis.

$ Y0 O9 K& q, ^• Maintain current documentation of site status, complete trouble tickets, incident report and other required reports.

• Shift work, overtime, and 24 hour on-call support may be required on a regular rotational basis.

• 5 years of telecommunications experience.

  L7 r5 `/ h& Z  Z7 _7 \• Diploma or Certificate in Electronics from a technical institute.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

-Telecom Diploma with at least 2 years of post secondary education -Experience working at a cell site -Must be willing to travel around Alberta (expenses will be reimbursed) -Experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Internet Protocol Analyzers, RFC testing and Microwave testing *The manager is not looking for Engineers.

*The contractor will not be required to do any climbing This is for a large LTE Expansion in Alberta.
