• Support capital projects and network build activity with coordination, installation, and commissioning duties • Respond to corrective network problems, performing effective/efficient problem analysis, rapid troubleshooting diagnosis and prompt repair of equipment to ensure service restoral objectives are met.+ k+ x) J% F6 S$ c# q) v6 t

• Coordinate with other Technicians and departments as required to obtain maintain service levels.3 S7 t+ Z; z0 m5 _2 g8 \

• Plan for and implement preventive maintenance routines to ensure network standards of performance are met.

• Perform acceptance tests on newly installed sites and equipment to ensure results meet design specifications.0 u/ }& s _% y6 B- e

• Microwave and Transmission experience (e.g. DS1, DS2 ,DS3, OC3, OC12, IP) • Gain in depth knowledge of key quality service indicators in geographic area of responsibility.

• Optical Fiber, SONET and knowledge of TCP/IP • Participate in retune activities associated with network optimization and build activities.. p% V6 h/ q! Q( D% s( Y

• Administrative reporting of Mileage, Timesheet, Expenses, Equipment and Deficiency ticket updates etc.

• Test hand-offs, RSSI, transmit level on mobiles, dropped calls and investigate any changes.

• Diploma or Certificate in Electronics from a technical institute.
