Alberta's Orientation program is now confirmed. In addition, we would

(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By
0 X) p. R! B3 T& iattending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of : ]( K+ r. \$ d9 S3 e$ O, g' t' w
information that will make your transition to the University community % v8 t8 f8 {% w/ Z% y
more successful.

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,
& F' C, K: s- q0 a1 bSeptember 4th, 2006. Check in is at 9:30am on September 4th. Your check

be found south of Saskatchewan Drive, west of HUB.6 a4 {/ o' Z, u( q4 \1 T

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit ' M8 G3 ]$ P$ f1 O9 K; C; ^
www.campusmap.ualberta.ca to find your check in location. However, don't worry about having
; V5 f' M+ z: z y7 D3 t9 {4 m' Wto find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds
; v/ Y8 r3 x! u$ Qof volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically $ s* p" b2 h1 J
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth
; \3 ~; `' r. a- U% y# d1 `& rof directional information.

q/ k/ g% ^* a( F* J' z, iBoth days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
; P6 T3 j" q: K7 U/ |activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend 7 j9 O8 I/ R% U0 ^0 D
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday # a% f0 z# c- S Y. l5 p3 x
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
5 G- T, }" L* Q' u8 qHawrelak Park.

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on ^" S' @9 t" r# X, w5 G
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, " ]3 W7 Z) E& r i& e5 b
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.

1 ~+ ^. _' b7 F4 O |2 tBoth MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
5 M' _% Z% o* ^; B+ tto get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from 6 c& `) Z6 |0 b( y
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
% I# l. p: w! P i8 D* {) d1 QONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
+ |) n+ ~! o+ V: nyour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
, c- y) x) N% Q$ V; Uof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus % {& O1 W9 G! \# y% H" G7 t: m7 i+ |
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic 4 F; K7 S- k; L% [' z
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and
# Y) a! m V/ Rbring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
" z3 Q- H1 n0 ?7 Ttwo days of Orientation).
