information that will make your transition to the University community * h/ m/ x" `0 W1 W8 {: D7 B5 z6 P

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit

* g, Y6 J. P/ m( y- ~of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically
0 `" `4 ?: B2 r1 \0 a/ ^+ I Llook for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth
3 N5 S0 |; n" K# w" A! V& Sof directional information.# d# W; M, ] O7 s0 d5 H0 o
S- k5 N+ [1 K+ W8 O9 EBoth days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening ! }6 G. g9 f% A0 L
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend
- A y h3 M9 ~/ Ra variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday 9 ^& y2 F, _, K8 D5 |
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in - B. p+ k( e, L3 R$ B$ i5 g
Hawrelak Park.

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
9 M+ l. H) J3 YSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
8 D# N; Z e% Q' l3 [- z# Jand then continue to meet with for the entire year.% Y& e* s$ E. `9 I, {6 n! F# C

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
$ b. ]) W- p+ a! ^5 Fto get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
& m' A9 n6 ^6 o- xyour faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
- X9 y9 g9 H9 _: I' nONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process S# F4 o4 H$ K( T. d6 g0 j. r
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
3 \& K7 ?$ r( t6 a) a. ?of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
) l" m, e# ^6 A1 r5 rComputing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
$ l/ _2 k% [" A" ~5 TInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and ) H" t# Q R7 T+ i. g C( O
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the ( @+ n! y. n3 v1 T/ z
two days of Orientation).
