" S! P- G8 j1 z' D2 Z$ s: D0 D1 sAlberta's Orientation program is now confirmed. In addition, we would % @* o1 i' X/ S4 h/ T
like to thank you for your interest in the My Undergraduate Groups : h8 e7 m$ o$ q) J2 a
(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By 1 ?- G5 S$ n8 p' ]' ]3 `
attending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of
; A* k* ]3 s( \4 F' y. rinformation that will make your transition to the University community : R: u) r) U0 p! v- }
more successful.

September 4th, 2006. Check in is at 9:30am on September 4th. Your check

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday, 9 c! @0 ^4 v; s! ] w6 M
September 4th, 2006. Check in is at 9:30am on September 4th. Your check 3 y% e% ?$ C& N' k. S

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit
+ Q+ g+ G7 x* \www.campusmap.ualberta.ca to find your check in location. However, don't worry about having & \5 H" u2 \* t8 v6 S0 L
to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds
7 `. c$ }( f. f, F) }0 h* y9 {4 _of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically 7 {' A% F+ J; q1 f
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth # A, R6 E' n% p& m/ }6 U S: g6 a
of directional information.

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening ' _" Q& ?2 n0 U' S3 z# B% q
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend 0 H& ]- {4 }4 X% q2 L9 ~
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
- @0 c: d$ ]4 Levening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
! [/ H' S/ _3 a; e! c+ h& E, f* k3 vHawrelak Park.+ r: Y7 @# h+ U% s) S
+ ^# G" ?: Y$ _+ F2 w
You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on ) e5 H( P- ?7 E
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
: G! p. N2 b; z0 _and then continue to meet with for the entire year.6 a- Z: S( m* r/ \; A1 B: F
2 \6 z+ y# i2 v6 y# k1 c6 [Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you . L. F6 l+ n) H, L
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from ! O/ f8 x+ ^' g2 I6 G/ U1 Z' H1 }
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
7 o6 e1 r2 D9 E6 p6 ]& uONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
|4 q: g! n0 f( xyour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece / ?" J4 i6 X; G8 j; ?/ o6 q: ` \
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus : `+ ^: e* Y: E5 ^6 R
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic * z o( A6 a. l5 q3 C) Y* g, E
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and # i, z7 ~. H* P {
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the ( x3 [, `5 l! N. L/ ?- f
two days of Orientation).
