(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By

information that will make your transition to the University community

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

& P; E- H: t# ^7 tto find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds
2 ^, B2 c$ d* K- Xof volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically 7 B: i2 R. K( _# {2 |- ]
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth - C, b1 K3 a2 E$ n/ L0 K b' a
of directional information.

) ?, v# y7 Z$ w( X4 ?0 B* zBoth days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening F( s' O8 }2 [- A, }
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend v! G w- M5 \
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
; p C, @7 V2 Nevening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in

6 q6 C1 D! ]3 z/ z1 \4 GYou will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
4 v: B+ P, a4 V. rSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
1 l% h4 A; C1 e2 N' W0 B5 Eand then continue to meet with for the entire year.

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
* i8 z* b6 Y, X, Q. Y% n* d1 fto get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from : Y" w4 T, W" f1 d
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
" T, c: c: |( F: QONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
4 A- x3 i4 N1 ]- X9 `your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
* a' Q2 p& r! Kof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus 0 |7 b) D' E7 \ b
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
* s0 @6 q' b' a' s7 t8 ^Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and
7 D2 ~7 V* E' P" Nbring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the % A* C$ G! n9 v4 s( j
two days of Orientation).
