d9 e1 M* K6 o& `0 i0 ^(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By # c' o' {7 n9 Z
attending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of
9 k& L8 ~! S) t2 {9 C) n [information that will make your transition to the University community

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,
; U. I% K$ p5 d6 Q/ }) k7 e; QSeptember 4th, 2006. Check in is at 9:30am on September 4th. Your check

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds + L& h. y3 ~$ @0 k9 W. e& F" G( U
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically 5 N9 f: [: q% p% H; B9 J: N
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth
/ u- U3 V1 c3 l6 A" {" qof directional information.

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
8 Y# T3 [2 ?" ~ n- H% vactivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend # g# g& i1 m) W9 c8 o: M
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
. e& G. |4 A$ `# E; t2 a% S1 levening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in ! H$ N1 L* X2 G+ k p2 o: {

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on 8 O3 ~$ f* _& o* ~
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, 8 H4 I3 M m. H3 @1 ?
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.5 r- X7 H- Z1 `: p
) F! n: ?" b& B
Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
1 P- c) `3 `* D0 w, Lto get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
/ Z) [8 s) |+ \5 I: byour faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your * S7 G% p' s& t3 L, ?+ A1 K& ~' j
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
6 F2 x% o0 T+ |! B1 t0 v p8 fyour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
4 X* K" K" e6 h8 k0 aof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
, q+ b. \0 \' d, ZComputing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
; }% Y" d7 C4 O/ f/ CInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and ' R ~. I* n+ ~1 d( c0 q7 Q& l$ T) m
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the 2 A0 L/ c3 @! ~* f" y( Y
two days of Orientation).& G& i. L, U6 _ e; u9 D w5 g
