like to thank you for your interest in the My Undergraduate Groups ' a( C' y' k6 r+ U" y l" U
(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By 6 `5 P. @& b" e: D1 F& F; I& L- C
attending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of f1 x! p% @1 v
information that will make your transition to the University community - D/ F* `% I1 _- d! O) K1 U
more successful.! u- L% j# B! d! {8 y5 }+ a9 Z

* @/ f# ^0 P6 Z7 j2 y' QSeptember 4th, 2006. Check in is at 9:30am on September 4th. Your check # N; I+ F( q3 X& w) A
in location is T B 105 in the Henry Marshall Tory Building, which can ) S% x; n( J6 j. W N; I
be found south of Saskatchewan Drive, west of HUB.

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit

! b, C+ O; A4 X( r' xto find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds
+ J# V1 r5 M5 S& r/ S9 _of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically
. L# q0 |: `8 Y" L# G* j) O6 vlook for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth & V" A% _% l" K, ~5 b+ U
of directional information.9 i8 ?( q4 t ~4 Q

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
) G+ Z, W1 p' @" r( n: zactivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend 1 f( M9 h! q. W5 ]1 i1 Y1 m
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday & F. _% S2 O8 ^9 \% U/ }, c' s0 ]. U
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
! E* `* T/ X1 a9 wHawrelak Park.

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on : Z( j. s7 Q9 h, D, w2 a
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, ; Y8 b [/ S6 b- C0 P
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
; Z8 u0 y. p& {! I8 k$ Qto get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from % u7 b9 U& c. w) J+ g- T0 L4 u2 x& P
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your R' P8 @* o0 q# P* X
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
" @9 D c7 n6 y. D$ hyour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
3 D" ^, R; O! `" uof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
) k D9 _; G7 V+ i6 v1 V6 KComputing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic 5 x8 D0 J' q4 d2 ?5 y9 |5 W! D
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and - P* s. u6 `' l, W8 Q( x8 e
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
$ P+ \2 k( c" t0 C3 Ctwo days of Orientation).
