information that will make your transition to the University community

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds
\" b5 X3 f* ?$ u% ~$ [0 a& Pof volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically
: F; ~/ z9 q; T( n ylook for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth / X% U6 f( b; a3 ]2 Y
of directional information.

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
; f$ Q$ \4 ~" Eactivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend
1 N9 s/ u. ?, za variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
9 ` a1 s2 I7 S( v# N levening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
, m9 D. r9 D' m7 T* AHawrelak Park., i; A. i2 A& f- j

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
4 h: j, S) v) g7 a- vSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, . {5 }6 q7 n, x8 @& E
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.- Y' v$ {& ^+ o6 d( g. B: s) p
: [: m5 d l8 j }7 wBoth MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you * I. K% P& a! m
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
. {! m4 J! j5 ~ }1 O4 e5 iyour faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your ) G l3 z j5 g0 Y
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process 9 ?* P I6 z' W$ y- F1 a6 E) x+ g
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
' I. j9 e* s7 G/ q) Vof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus 5 c! o2 F% o) J0 V) o
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
* J$ ]4 h9 x8 X: ~0 s( J2 dInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and
: B; G" N$ P: _9 ybring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
+ x. }* L4 O* V( a2 Vtwo days of Orientation).* k, x' _! d2 w5 u2 g
