(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By 7 Z4 k+ N0 m# t7 v) u8 P6 V5 G3 k z
attending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of
7 y, g# ] I# T, X5 Finformation that will make your transition to the University community

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday, / {( c! m0 X9 x* k% Z- I! D
September 4th, 2006. Check in is at 9:30am on September 4th. Your check

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds

look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth ) L$ W: j. A3 z- X6 [
of directional information.

2 |# }- C# c+ F% ^1 h. oBoth days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening 9 @- p" m3 K7 p# z( X/ L
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend + S' o2 J! F, V- C* k* Y0 P
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday 8 l7 ]# _( @, X6 I" W2 Q$ |; Q. E
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
+ L3 ~. f& d! X* EHawrelak Park.1 s% \, r2 f% m1 }" v8 p
4 ^' u% |8 s# |" {) WYou will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
& d" {$ `' `/ C* aSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
- ]: ^! R; ^2 j% vand then continue to meet with for the entire year.
& A/ C0 C! b3 x* `- i# y) z5 q; y0 [7 D$ h
Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you 2 P) i; G4 h7 P) A0 ^
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
' X, O; i+ t$ p/ Y& K5 m3 `: d+ Byour faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your + f3 [; ~% ^" T0 ^/ V Z
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
) d D3 H7 {+ t( _3 G0 xyour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece ; C/ V2 Z8 t2 U) m" q, P
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus / ^& W, V2 Y2 D4 ]+ }9 C* J
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
) G. O, ?7 @$ ^8 ?$ K9 \1 WInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and $ o! d' f6 m( g" I
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the + z$ i% K1 }) Y0 d6 Y% e( L
two days of Orientation).
