Alberta's Orientation program is now confirmed. In addition, we would

7 F" W7 W* K, D. {(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By " ^9 w- y3 [( M$ Y
attending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of $ J. l3 W" u j. i& T) `
information that will make your transition to the University community

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit % E4 F! P8 e9 p, q
www.campusmap.ualberta.ca to find your check in location. However, don't worry about having ; p- g2 S4 C T N+ e6 x* O( ^
to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds 5 ? r1 S' }/ R. e; h0 ]
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically 5 g; @3 }7 h; I- W5 {9 w
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth 7 N+ B& L H# _# [' ?3 U5 Q
of directional information.

- I/ E+ N) l! l% C$ x1 ^: y. EBoth days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening % j4 w+ w7 M0 H& S
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend
6 p/ [: z# T; k* G9 `a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday % E$ k; U4 H- w7 `6 V! P' y
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
! f9 ]" W( j" {8 l" A3 F7 pHawrelak Park.

9 f. ]! w4 E8 q8 m$ w sYou will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on 4 K3 a* B/ r s$ w, f0 o9 B
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
0 b0 M7 M; w) eand then continue to meet with for the entire year.

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
8 V+ ?2 O% f2 } {4 Gto get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from + q' m- ^ M4 J$ `3 x/ w+ N
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your $ `6 I4 f( s2 o2 i7 B* P
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process " Y' K7 U. T1 |# Q6 J8 Z
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece 1 @$ \/ Y7 [! F2 f+ i+ F
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus 8 U$ D9 A6 T' d: x: \6 _
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic , }8 s* o" I8 {2 b5 [5 k, w& i
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and ; P$ f% w1 V7 }; G: b
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
* X$ ]0 J" `4 [( h Stwo days of Orientation).
