0 Q$ \# z" a6 X" J- {0 Q8 |- E' w(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By
6 O2 }4 y" X+ H6 o( J% oattending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of ) r! N! f. X0 X$ \
information that will make your transition to the University community ( z8 f; B# z1 D. S( j: a' K
more successful.

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

- U! f2 j5 m' Z) ~www.campusmap.ualberta.ca to find your check in location. However, don't worry about having
# W" p6 ?3 ~9 A+ A$ c2 r0 ito find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds 0 t5 b+ z t! F% m$ @' v# q7 v
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically 6 v6 e& z: ~0 K
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth
t( [5 v7 x4 Z: D2 _, n5 jof directional information.

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
* R# u4 g# T1 g+ [' Y7 f- Qactivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend
1 k" i2 ?5 Z4 O# y9 F' ia variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday # f+ I( j6 W0 |6 b
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in 7 B( H6 |2 T( V) n2 M" A
Hawrelak Park.

# g7 P+ {+ r9 T9 I3 H8 pYou will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
+ y( P. ^' n; D7 h% _5 _" N# QSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
& t+ m$ w& b* v D2 x, s$ h1 rand then continue to meet with for the entire year.

3 u' y5 _/ `# G1 O5 SBoth MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you # `) J u7 k1 ]/ a. A
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from 4 e3 D! p7 l5 L g, ?
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your ' z, _% M- N/ M5 F% G0 r8 }
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process % S& C8 X5 W. {& M; M
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece 8 E7 k! j4 K4 L
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
" R9 Z5 [4 r4 J2 HComputing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
/ x3 U- |' M; r, qInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and 6 g: g' h8 l6 f$ C+ R
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
7 g5 L1 P1 U$ z3 T0 ^two days of Orientation).6 x+ g/ @. B* q& h
