Alberta's Orientation program is now confirmed. In addition, we would

(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By - [7 s* O) k z' D9 F
attending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit
# s" V1 B4 K. Twww.campusmap.ualberta.ca to find your check in location. However, don't worry about having ' a( b/ |! m) Z
to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds 4 C( u# s7 _- [5 c6 b
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically
0 F2 Q! A8 u' u) \( W6 r% m) _& Qlook for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth
/ l, f% L/ p- h3 lof directional information.

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
4 }% o8 `. ^, v" V2 f1 L3 P# Mactivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend
; @2 U6 S0 H( fa variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday 4 }: l5 F9 U2 B/ D a1 S
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
5 j& \4 g% W6 s$ W$ h* a. P2 Q4 AHawrelak Park.

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
}( x9 j* m6 f" _6 u( g: q( _September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, % D' o7 m, j2 R
and then continue to meet with for the entire year." |$ H" r. @( w4 T+ H1 S. S3 p
: }" [8 W" z$ U) i. {( H& s4 H UBoth MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you # |; o( u$ ?! G2 ?: t/ s" M
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
- f) a4 a9 L* b9 v9 dyour faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
( W) ` ^; d% g% H6 C4 c5 [- z1 w, KONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process y7 M: z$ J' q5 n& P; v6 P
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
5 i6 A( C* c- n: `of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus 6 T+ G7 M6 {8 {; L9 \, I3 l
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic ( e6 y, g% ^& f- Q/ g# @
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and & p/ C I; e6 J9 X
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the + A. w3 I4 N+ D: }: |
two days of Orientation).
