(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By
; j5 b: y0 q- g# l. Cattending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of
5 q6 V S& u# X! dinformation that will make your transition to the University community

' r& t, k& x( j1 gOrientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,
& F5 {) ?/ t8 Z1 JSeptember 4th, 2006. Check in is at 9:30am on September 4th. Your check

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds
P! U) i) e) c! q4 z* sof volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically 2 j% k% d/ p. y
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth ) g' P9 S: h4 M) B9 _
of directional information.

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening c7 o: C0 C, `
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend 6 O4 E4 v c3 }: O$ ]+ D4 k
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
' y: b1 c! f# r d" ]5 j4 m6 `evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
3 o6 L' f1 ?( L( mHawrelak Park.
& i, [/ g1 u- w8 R9 N" N8 z4 Z' l- E$ T/ m: p7 X, M
You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
9 T1 w# R$ G- Z5 T* D$ gSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
2 N+ @' @6 [7 {) K- a: ]and then continue to meet with for the entire year.

2 _1 l; W0 Z# i/ L9 H( `: f. j6 zBoth MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you 4 L; f% L& f6 g
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from 0 j" c0 }1 H9 t; I$ x9 V8 y
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
. ~! l/ j* G6 A6 ^' z) aONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process 3 `; W/ X& Z5 j! R9 G
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
1 A, w! a8 o+ X- _" ^+ Eof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus 7 p+ g) Q4 V* D: e% R
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic / ^: O6 R# T; `5 d7 n" ^
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and 2 |' W8 \9 ]- U5 h# ?) t
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
