information that will make your transition to the University community ) i+ t' Y- L d( ~3 X) B

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds
. @5 A' k: {/ A' W- l1 K; uof volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically
* f" t# j9 R5 Z& O/ V$ R" P& G. alook for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth ! Z6 S8 W' v- a( @( Z
of directional information.6 }% ^$ u* p0 o8 g9 a' }! c
. E8 y4 ]3 c& {! VBoth days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
; P9 p( k: b" x2 gactivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend % B7 R9 D5 [- u! |! R" F" R- I0 ]
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday Y; p5 u5 J3 W' B2 B K0 W
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in 0 m6 e0 g# o) g7 C

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
6 y7 k( F( z. i" YSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
6 ?8 ?- C8 Z" i$ l) }8 xand then continue to meet with for the entire year.& G' C5 p. q; N$ |( r. \4 q

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
^; G8 ^8 A, D8 W% Zto get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from , A6 i/ y. D; U: B* u( h
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
6 n. F) D$ Q. a$ F! |ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process 6 X% M9 W1 w4 T1 S. \/ p
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece % C, k$ ?2 t. c5 A1 M5 z( j# V
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus & J, [7 ~( Q8 y9 `4 X
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
( X( c0 V, a+ @: nInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and k7 F0 q9 b j6 m3 j
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
: O4 o% ]$ ~2 x6 m" Stwo days of Orientation).4 s% A& t9 {7 h" c5 H" C+ Z: I. d
