x! D2 Q8 i5 N6 _- P(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By
+ f7 B; o {6 V7 s e9 I9 iattending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of ; s% m2 W9 k: g ?
information that will make your transition to the University community / {" `3 r$ f% }
more successful.

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday, # o G* H, u- P
September 4th, 2006. Check in is at 9:30am on September 4th. Your check

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds 7 H( S+ L. c) f6 \3 d2 c
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically
7 _$ d" @4 d3 Y/ N* D$ Y/ @look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth
! r0 X% n4 t3 R4 i `( N% zof directional information.2 T* R$ l7 o5 ]( l$ h) A, I" }% H

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening 0 N; i( y" ]$ ?' _, c# A
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend ( R& a8 D! w* B. N2 \
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday " w9 a5 |, O/ j, ]4 e
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
& f) i0 o8 `2 r3 X- U/ gHawrelak Park.4 i/ ^8 n0 m4 H2 F; b

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
8 F9 r! T, W2 U' |3 \2 R, ISeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, 3 o- L- N% d5 n8 y5 o, }
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.6 W$ A" H2 v0 m9 t# [! k) w* o
) _2 I: @) H! q, V3 i2 d+ f
Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
9 v% G Y1 W z1 rto get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
4 k. r; K7 Y; H; D% Hyour faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your ) x) I: r) C- u" A
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
7 m8 F- A2 Z$ P" D2 myour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
3 ?1 s, O% N; j \% R( D. M( c5 bof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus " M# |& j6 _! `+ J8 U# x& p, }3 ]
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
* ]' `* Q- E: G# u6 WInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and
5 h+ J* w- ?) ~/ l2 u1 Fbring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the % C6 `# N( P/ Q; m/ q
two days of Orientation).8 a3 }0 L, W) ^
