Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds ( M1 e% B% l* }" k0 x
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically 9 ]1 }9 Y0 o+ a6 h% w+ _
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth ' V9 ~8 h Y; `: |
of directional information.4 z# P1 s: i+ ~& O+ y* L% O: C

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
* e, [" V d' K) Q9 U% wactivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend + a7 o5 i& p5 E7 g0 q
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday / p$ X; u5 b' n
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
& f" \% b D* i2 y Q1 `9 MHawrelak Park.
- \9 L8 l& R6 K3 U9 z0 N( p; G( }4 [' h8 n. V1 K9 ^
You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
# z6 v2 `" q5 p% U7 B$ n& W- OSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, ( [9 e+ o4 @- W, v- C/ L
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you / O( K, M& V' ~4 u: G
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from & `0 o1 Z& a! |& m
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your : ?* a3 ^6 j; c: B7 a0 k! v" w
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
2 L, v! b' Z% q7 }& o$ Z' o- q3 \& Pyour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
/ e w7 _0 ]; s" u" m. d* Lof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus 0 [8 f. P* n% N- v( ]7 c9 v
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic o1 }6 V! j( I) i0 b
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and : ?! R$ I8 A! R% m5 I" `
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
