Alberta's Orientation program is now confirmed. In addition, we would 7 S# S$ U- ?% l' c
like to thank you for your interest in the My Undergraduate Groups 8 E8 ^9 c, U3 x1 }) n# m
(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By
1 n h4 z5 f* r5 N! k2 J( Oattending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of I; k, e9 P! H4 m3 Q
information that will make your transition to the University community : r' H {0 W0 W3 y5 f! g( B4 X3 [

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds
+ _' z( F- ]+ U2 f* iof volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically 4 M9 [' o* g! c- h& ?+ N* f5 d7 [: x
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth
. E" r f0 k0 u* [( u, oof directional information.

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
% g- {7 s$ r! I: W- Q7 {7 q1 r; b+ \activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend
3 m8 v$ T* `3 h5 I3 O: da variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
5 i' E+ k, ]) Y4 z. ~( u% V+ Bevening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
* V" n* p; C2 H& G8 UHawrelak Park.

! \: N8 V& X& k& W7 K- yYou will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
7 S+ @" {# P2 ZSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
- V0 W* o" p0 Nand then continue to meet with for the entire year.

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
, j" U6 b! |; m5 q& ato get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from , F* w* y- ?6 O7 p6 X
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
2 p8 o2 d9 y2 ]. R# z* d8 pONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process ; M" D/ A6 z5 t4 Y( y
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
2 P4 t! k4 i }5 Z; L* sof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus * d' [7 S8 g" _* Y( D' }) s
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic ) f/ r8 F$ l9 g9 R
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and # n8 C( T- ? D& h
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
' a" `9 L/ I, [* j8 _) C! Rtwo days of Orientation).
