attending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday, - O! _/ S3 ]1 z! Q) V( ]% H" Z
September 4th, 2006. Check in is at 9:30am on September 4th. Your check

& H6 z6 [: O+ g2 r; n7 sof volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically ! h( j6 @/ C7 r+ F+ l
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth ( W8 K: y, }2 e& U4 o! M& J1 d$ k
of directional information.

7 w4 X5 A% T8 z/ c1 r& D3 c; t HBoth days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
5 v; f" y5 D) j2 i: m8 ]* }/ Y: Eactivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend & f/ m" ?' }% Z5 G* N
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday 8 b, `' Q" o1 K) u, l( O
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in 8 U1 F( [/ Y3 G

" h; O2 y- W% `You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
" [+ w9 [0 h, ?. y$ ]" z' F% l+ g' BSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, 5 r( [; ?- ~( V- {, Y% v# C
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.

9 m* H4 x+ B' X! pBoth MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you . z$ K# g+ }1 B' i% T) j1 \5 \7 [
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
! m7 a7 E+ E' t. \' m" _+ Z, ?your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
( [2 M. F" g+ GONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process # w3 c9 c" v9 B
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
! J( ]0 z, j6 }7 f$ R" C- X+ ]of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus 5 A# s2 r/ p4 s4 F
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
$ q' w) V& V2 O" o3 L. aInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and 5 H" Q* J- A4 C6 f- ]. [/ f$ \% V5 K
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
