(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By 7 W0 n- x9 U3 g% Z
attending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of 3 z, ^. I& D: B) L8 S
information that will make your transition to the University community 8 \ S# c8 U3 Q, w7 |. F B

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds
. B- u, [, W9 _+ P0 R! d7 W4 }of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically 2 e# n& q" T% G! H
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth 9 ?1 I. Y+ ^, h9 U' g; u* q0 a' [
of directional information.

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening 7 p3 s7 X" `: I$ B- I& ?' V
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend ' {7 S8 ~. o8 P7 ?+ C
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
/ ^* U" E9 Y7 m7 N$ Revening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in 4 S* A! A* O6 j+ e
Hawrelak Park.( J8 w! Y$ O' J2 W. m
0 J2 i5 o5 K. A! e# _+ JYou will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
3 w$ Y/ _. ^# \6 ISeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, 7 v) b2 ^, u- ^
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.. c$ a1 }6 `! A+ s

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
( s' X5 c7 T% o, r/ {# U0 Nto get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from / J' F) e7 T, P4 R9 I. Y$ M6 j2 k
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
: H7 r- }$ n5 `) q' gONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
: m( [& {, F7 s' R) s6 @' pyour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
$ Q; k& y" x# e. T+ lof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus * f' y$ w7 |6 B/ L: U' n
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
. Z5 R2 ~: `- GInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and
- f3 p# z i+ L) sbring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
5 \* u1 J8 X% U# ?two days of Orientation).
