(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By 1 |+ ~8 R) n3 P6 k0 F
attending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of * i0 m: {: a, f) a$ P
information that will make your transition to the University community

September 4th, 2006. Check in is at 9:30am on September 4th. Your check

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds
8 F9 j9 P* N" |8 ^0 t6 Lof volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically
" q" }9 G. p( \9 [+ slook for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth
* A7 z4 y) f$ X' n! gof directional information.

% v$ U- k3 o3 gBoth days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
- r5 g+ w0 H9 r, Z* Nactivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend " P$ z$ O% d) |0 O6 v/ ] j
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday 5 o3 v0 e9 @0 ?; T
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
) E1 b! j) \. [- o1 B2 Q2 AHawrelak Park.1 Y* p" ~2 {# A* P

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on ) F, c4 Y) l2 P) G0 D
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
0 j$ k/ a0 x) E7 L7 P' |; Yand then continue to meet with for the entire year., l- B/ B' N9 v0 B/ h3 _

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
& t1 [4 j3 l$ M1 i9 N6 _4 Ito get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
?( a8 x" @8 E' j: b$ [ qyour faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
( S$ Y, L/ {) [- b @ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
# D0 @" ~) I0 I* l0 s8 {# _! p/ lyour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece 0 z% y6 L: O$ h2 [" w0 y* B3 w
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus * g6 X5 P( i' K7 Q& D
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic ! c3 w2 e. d4 i
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and , O) d! y- G1 d
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
2 V9 l9 b; f* Y' k5 utwo days of Orientation).4 R9 Q! m$ a# M
