like to thank you for your interest in the My Undergraduate Groups 8 G2 {2 o) C% t8 X& |) U% Z$ ]) l
(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By 2 x% E- i' r+ [+ }7 J8 w
attending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of
X- e3 W, H4 O3 Ginformation that will make your transition to the University community

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds
9 M* w+ B6 ^1 i1 ^3 `% N/ C1 Q% \of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically 6 O5 y6 R3 y2 g4 A
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth
& v3 [: r3 k8 f" i/ W1 P! nof directional information.

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
" I* Y/ ~- A8 |+ iactivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend
; K" g, c- t& p' x8 n( wa variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
5 A) u& n9 N7 n: Y. K% eevening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
; M; k9 x- {$ F+ r, sHawrelak Park.

; ?0 F1 h( t2 j* T0 e( c) oYou will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on ) `/ ^+ f* B: ~* {) w9 {
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
1 n; t! k; d4 [+ m Uand then continue to meet with for the entire year.

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you ) a' y9 o$ d L a+ F6 k
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from , z5 M1 f7 b7 d9 @* i
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your 9 a0 T1 E: D1 B; Q" M: v
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process 2 L9 Z5 [9 Q+ j: n0 m
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece 2 u9 H7 }. ?8 N
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus ]; s: O: n& B8 M* V' Z; U5 X
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
- v- v1 J: i( U$ yInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and
/ w1 v+ F$ x8 i# Ibring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the 3 i3 m) [! u) M% N6 Y/ P- Z) j1 X# b
two days of Orientation).
