(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By
% |' \& u3 D6 V/ s. ]* Eattending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of / }. b3 N _4 P# [' `: E; h- z
information that will make your transition to the University community # Q* O& m8 H. X9 a% ~
more successful.

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds 6 t$ H$ \4 [+ ^" i
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically - y( Y4 M+ @; u% O
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth ' @1 p f+ S: q8 x1 g8 D7 r
of directional information.
$ P+ ?/ e% l2 F1 v& m a+ E' T7 ~ z# j0 i
Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening - a7 r# b* \* }2 ~" F7 R" N4 w9 S
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend $ k1 C% b( |) o) d! ~. ?: e
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
: X9 L) p/ `" }evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
7 H0 E% [4 b2 h( VHawrelak Park.
/ V: V0 Z$ O' R7 x! h0 q- H" k# s" i9 k. \" U
You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
1 ?& H! v" i6 w% Z, {$ e# u5 aSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, % b- K, e! v5 `; {" D
and then continue to meet with for the entire year., } Z0 D6 B$ m3 O& N5 W& d
# a1 i! A5 {8 a4 M; K
Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
7 \/ a: k8 `2 U; g7 O2 eto get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
# x1 Q" b& g4 z3 Hyour faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
/ D- A& }! ~$ Y$ g7 UONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
" M( M: W. f/ s, m* L' byour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece c1 I7 [& ~) k& l: Z$ @
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
4 w) Z& G- S. X) \; z/ D9 XComputing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
, b) V4 z4 u A7 b& n$ y$ [# qInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and $ r3 |. N( \3 l% `
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
* k9 [; M6 j q: o- t Ltwo days of Orientation).# c# H/ C+ K t6 M9 i# e
