information that will make your transition to the University community

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds 6 O( s; _4 z, z
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically

: j& z2 ]/ S3 I/ p0 a, ^Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening 4 P: @. g8 v: `6 G. ]! H$ H; p& J8 h
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend ( J3 h3 S: T) K2 ]' A
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday , _ T- C3 D. d
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
9 G& N; S# X# v* M4 s5 cHawrelak Park.) W2 H. T) B* `3 y2 v- S

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
" T5 r$ V9 y! X4 J; oSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, / `* }$ O6 L) S7 [5 |% A$ V
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.1 ]; v. U, p& ~$ A# {
8 T: \9 p2 r {! p: jBoth MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
5 _% ^' s* Q' l8 Z+ e: fto get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from 5 k% i I' b- \
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
" L7 r8 F2 G& C, gONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
2 s# E) x' m3 R" V: ryour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
7 A l8 R: z6 m5 u- B6 W S! Sof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus 0 A t+ w) V3 \ S
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic . `4 ]; \- A8 K, s% n( T
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and
& h! E, Y4 _' \& }( \bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the + p `$ P1 w8 @/ M
