attending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday, * `- ^1 M5 n4 @- G/ B, r3 _; D( ?
September 4th, 2006. Check in is at 9:30am on September 4th. Your check 5 U) N% q6 q6 A4 x

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit 0 ?+ G& E) V' G4 L* F
www.campusmap.ualberta.ca to find your check in location. However, don't worry about having
' e% U/ m2 r* n) }$ `: j9 Lto find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds + \# T. a5 M- c9 j. I1 O/ _
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically
5 X0 V& \( G* y; clook for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth
- n% I3 t% [+ d$ Z4 a9 Rof directional information.

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
. }& R9 b, q- U ^0 T3 ]activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend
: g' L* x: J1 w& }5 za variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
9 [# d- x# L7 X8 e8 kevening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
' X' Q3 Y0 @8 X M1 B3 C vHawrelak Park.4 R! z# X9 W: F
3 R2 `8 j! T, p* }) W8 u
You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on & b t' W: I+ {- x- z( v
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
6 C( h- k% w) Q+ jand then continue to meet with for the entire year.* J& |) i5 a2 h- b/ K4 g5 B
. g9 \- ]$ C4 p, V) C% L
Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
9 S! m5 C5 w+ O2 ]: ?to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from 9 r6 N& F. m% e4 r4 |/ F3 B4 y
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your , F2 L+ b; f% ?8 R: `' r
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process 1 p$ U. |8 Q# w! i- h. a
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece 1 \8 x% x/ p& o. \) E
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus + \5 C6 m8 K" D" f" w
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic ; v8 K0 n. j. E' `7 z+ d
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and 6 G! }8 K E9 q9 K2 W3 I: ^! e
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the % x, I b; F7 z
two days of Orientation).
