attending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit # I6 Z; L! {; Q+ J( K* D; d

7 E# E$ h7 q/ x. ~to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds / m' o) ~- o6 p- `2 y8 W
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically
; e( p( v3 T2 x4 r( c+ w; qlook for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth 8 W6 \! X) t P$ S7 w
of directional information.

" ~! G9 J, I& E' x+ A7 U- SBoth days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening ; h) w, J* N8 L U5 X9 @
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend 1 q5 L( _! F3 t& q7 g. |( `" M$ a: F/ E
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
0 g1 `% i. K( l4 j5 [+ B* O: \evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in % b* o! I# X. n+ e, e
Hawrelak Park.% J) X& T/ ^ y! g

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
& O, Q1 _/ ]4 l' nSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, % u7 \, p- b X; G2 B& Q4 ^/ J
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you 0 r, y+ W, n$ K. T/ B/ [8 @
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from / B2 y; g9 v1 S- H- ^ x1 S5 @
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your / T7 e f# ]" D5 g, [" Q# ?# D1 @
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process & `% u& I t i/ e/ \
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece 4 W1 b$ E+ z- ~+ n) u, [
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
& C& _+ V. K$ M4 {Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
, X D3 v, Y. U: [ g8 _3 jInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and
1 T6 F& i1 z! r8 Pbring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
& `# j1 X# S: m: f- [ mtwo days of Orientation).
