(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By
! u$ u5 Q7 y4 t B+ W% o* Gattending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of # [- ]$ t6 q M' I: C+ g6 s
information that will make your transition to the University community

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday, 2 w3 X' o" O$ q4 E

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds ! j' L; q& m- \5 R, x& a8 x) U0 p
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically 0 G% }! F) B' V C9 Z( ]8 V( I
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth " S7 v/ Z+ D# g3 s
of directional information." y/ m' P+ n- W, u7 F

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening ( A9 s9 D! Z H) o( R
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend
1 N- f$ P" v/ N5 da variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday 3 l, I. e) @$ O1 t" U
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in ) K: ?1 x; H% t( q" r8 o) r

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
3 c' ^* _* J( c0 V# g9 LSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
/ \7 z# U) ^- c4 C- O- b7 [8 V$ eand then continue to meet with for the entire year.2 T* T2 V s$ ~2 H! @6 T& M& d0 P
I# W6 V0 o" @' H3 `& F+ oBoth MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you * u7 W/ p+ [; b: u
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from 7 Q) M B0 |" W. x
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your ! d, C% U8 {) p9 g/ r
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
# M( @1 y B' d; A& L, V7 lyour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece 8 Q. R# L$ F/ q6 l$ v! }
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus 4 e/ d* `9 t$ Z* N3 j% v Q: @
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
- O8 [% K& s/ m( }9 B, vInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and 5 @# {) P9 n0 ]
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
# D) @% P; C2 X9 x6 C/ t. U! Etwo days of Orientation).2 n$ g8 c2 a. ]& a$ T) P5 L
