Alberta's Orientation program is now confirmed. In addition, we would

(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By
3 J4 I% v- V4 E! r3 Yattending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of
! }/ a5 ?' V. o- y5 n8 ]information that will make your transition to the University community
) g6 I1 i( i) h) g1 j3 Lmore successful.* A! `5 J+ b9 |/ y
! f0 y# h1 N4 n! x6 \+ KOrientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

8 K$ k8 H( h v8 _$ p/ p2 |$ |1 Mof volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically
0 S$ ^/ ]" G7 I8 Q: [' Klook for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth
8 g1 m4 `$ Y0 d3 @+ }of directional information.

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
/ s! `3 y4 ^$ q! v: U% Cactivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend
5 C) O# l. [( n1 w, X4 ^, i! ra variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday ; W% \: c, `1 Q2 _, y$ \
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
6 |7 E) m" t6 Z. a7 oHawrelak Park.

1 _5 b5 B9 V) T- ?$ wYou will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
7 ^! l0 I0 A) t; R2 QSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, 9 _+ O' Y$ S# ~$ N( |
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you x% j* I+ ^3 T) w/ @( @
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
3 T, i B$ b& U; b* u2 ?3 v# _2 ryour faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your 8 I# y5 d; A K* L% s, w3 [
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process ! ?7 \0 w( T5 ^1 T- e" ]
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece & x c4 o0 P2 Z
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus $ q/ h# f0 `$ j- `% {, e
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic 2 c' |* V, I, {* _
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and
. @+ ~ f' X7 p% Tbring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
8 |* }( m6 @( d" d2 ^8 S. O+ l: x! |two days of Orientation).6 Q* i; L7 p, G; ?
