5 }9 H1 d4 |+ y- H& `( NAlberta's Orientation program is now confirmed. In addition, we would
1 S7 A" q; J) ^- F& Elike to thank you for your interest in the My Undergraduate Groups ) c* S" ]- `! }" _
(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By
" Z5 l, ?2 k9 |" o* G: battending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of
3 F+ X* r' w0 q! c0 Y v0 dinformation that will make your transition to the University community $ d6 v! T* Z% _" E
more successful.

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday, * O( M6 t. {7 h( e( L- {7 [
September 4th, 2006. Check in is at 9:30am on September 4th. Your check / T) U$ G( F, }0 B+ J1 S/ E+ i
in location is T B 105 in the Henry Marshall Tory Building, which can

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit
! K; H$ p7 G" B! {www.campusmap.ualberta.ca to find your check in location. However, don't worry about having
: ?) b& \% @& T# I3 {to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds 5 M! ?* g; Z) A( P* x
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically * u* u+ W% z1 C$ M4 T n
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth ( x4 r, v4 S1 E9 o# W$ ^ f
of directional information.- m! W/ O0 f5 c' G; @

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
7 v- a6 R9 ]9 N* v5 Aactivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend ( R9 L, J$ ]! k% J* h
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
- I) z' S% E3 l4 Zevening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
6 I9 }0 X* B1 \) J% c. d4 K, P4 `+ lHawrelak Park.; J% {0 H6 ]; h6 r1 d) q2 y

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on * Z) g; L( s: l1 X S/ {' x. A! p
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
4 N; ]: O1 f8 j. Nand then continue to meet with for the entire year.; G- @) J4 J; q) Q7 o$ {( B P

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you 0 X7 J4 h, \, X7 l2 M9 H: C
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
J7 T# B' {' [- ~2 B) Jyour faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
3 T7 B$ g& l$ RONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
; b' s. ?6 v6 lyour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
, i, H) h. d* A5 pof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus 0 }. _2 Z6 _& @2 b. Y7 V2 B
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
7 ]$ d$ H2 J5 |; |% T1 K2 s& UInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and $ M: c3 W+ [) W$ O* Z" f
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
! @1 }& c# w5 dtwo days of Orientation).
