Alberta's Orientation program is now confirmed. In addition, we would

(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By & _* _ w1 l/ x9 R; e
attending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of
# X7 W4 I2 \# ^" I% o/ minformation that will make your transition to the University community * L, f% {1 t( [6 C& v. D1 v
more successful.8 u. A: x' `9 p% E' I* n: i* E6 \1 _$ s
- R4 u9 Z4 m& C; e# K6 TOrientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

. C) R6 r9 K) z0 `) Rto find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds ) l9 v- q# G! _' k- G
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically
$ [: H( S z! Q8 g1 l9 ]6 }: H4 ilook for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth U% d; y9 x2 V, C6 [, h
of directional information.

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
; B) }% s8 k5 Q6 factivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend 5 K4 O7 u% a, W
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday , x# Y1 b3 @/ y" q$ b5 x
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
8 L' S& l+ e- I: Y5 _3 PHawrelak Park.

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on 9 X: H$ o9 m; [1 E) V5 X
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
) U! h. e5 U9 e, Q. Mand then continue to meet with for the entire year.% X5 o8 Q% k2 |4 e! N

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you ; J$ J, u0 v5 ]6 b6 ]
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
$ l$ {$ h, F( j2 w8 ^1 ]. t8 _your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
! ^' w4 [3 A% f1 I) v% R7 UONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process , l/ v) H+ o# k6 H+ C0 r5 O
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
, L) a8 n# l1 o/ uof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
/ R8 l3 I( V$ f# L7 E! QComputing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
3 z9 \1 h$ {9 w* @3 k$ Y+ z! AInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and " R9 N ?" X+ n* j3 R* y
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the / g2 B2 h) l! Y. A+ ?
