information that will make your transition to the University community

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday, + p3 X% ^0 n7 C' V& ^- S
September 4th, 2006. Check in is at 9:30am on September 4th. Your check

of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically ; C* S3 D3 G- e- x+ E" S
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth 2 r2 }4 U+ ?* M) y
of directional information.1 j! ^2 o7 v7 h4 s( j( K
) M. C" [7 W pBoth days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening , Y+ V' D$ c A3 s% x
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend
, v3 ?1 d3 ]! ca variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
! w" ?7 N* B* z. ?) [evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in . `2 [4 n! a9 G2 u- `( l

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on ; ~# M# b! V w2 e
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, % J( H; B' }5 `/ Q, s! i# g w; O
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.4 l% b7 O; D% |
4 d, C; {( C" h' W' eBoth MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
4 ^# f# y9 [2 a, _ a! i0 h6 {* zto get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from ; C$ p' U* S6 r) w. m" S
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
' L4 |) E2 @% TONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process ~6 ^1 \5 V4 L9 W5 z( G
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
$ }0 h! e& t, l/ v8 |$ m b- Hof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
z- a' O1 D4 R0 \Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
9 h, |4 e" I1 B6 f4 \2 sInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and . C2 K+ a/ v4 \; m' K( f5 [2 k* s, Z
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
* b- b/ x4 o8 f$ Etwo days of Orientation).
