Key Responsibilities are as follows:- {" `. a$ F- y' r1 b0 S
•This position is accountable for the effective development, delivery and evaluation of Integrated Service Program funded by the Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services
) j4 N5 `& x5 a9 ^# E/ v•Specific accountabilities include analyzing and defining community needs, assisting in the development of new initiatives and overall strategy, participation in community and/or industry advocacy and social action processes, project management, recruitment, leadership and performance appraisal of a team of up to 10 para-professionals and/or volunteers, program priority setting, maintenance of appropriate reporting, development and management of program budget, preparation of report submissions to funding or regulatory bodies
% u) W. h1 b R2 D K•Required skills include: understanding of client needs and appropriate interventions, program implementation and evaluation, creativity and ongoing program development, leadership and co-ordination of service provision and administrative functions, participation in budget development and monitoring, staff recruiting, supervision, development and evaluation, client case management, program data collection, data and narrative reporting8 |$ o8 P4 k7 q
•Responsibilities include relationship management with CIC, AHS and other organizations; community development planning and activities; participation in and leadership of agency-wide projects.% u# c" ?. C$ a) g& z8 F
•Coordination with other program coordinators in LINC, ECALA, family, youth and senior programs is essential! t/ a7 D: T& X) {
x, K: @% }! N- y: xQualifications:: z0 |! T$ _! v
•University degree or diploma in a related field or extensive related experience ;5 z5 F/ s5 H9 g" K* k* j
•Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit/voluntary organization;
7 W6 Q0 ]; n( B/ |2 c) c" ?•Knowledge of settlement/cross-cultural processes, human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;! E" w# G! B& e* u- `# N
•Two or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization or demonstrated potential
% j" f! Q* F! s9 x. u% k•Fluent in English, knowledge of another language is preferred but not mandatory.
