•This position is accountable for the effective development, delivery and evaluation of Integrated Service Program funded by the Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services
' h+ _9 l3 |$ v' s9 o•Specific accountabilities include analyzing and defining community needs, assisting in the development of new initiatives and overall strategy, participation in community and/or industry advocacy and social action processes, project management, recruitment, leadership and performance appraisal of a team of up to 10 para-professionals and/or volunteers, program priority setting, maintenance of appropriate reporting, development and management of program budget, preparation of report submissions to funding or regulatory bodies
' b+ L$ g% f/ n0 o% X) ^0 Z•Required skills include: understanding of client needs and appropriate interventions, program implementation and evaluation, creativity and ongoing program development, leadership and co-ordination of service provision and administrative functions, participation in budget development and monitoring, staff recruiting, supervision, development and evaluation, client case management, program data collection, data and narrative reporting
' f; K- }; C4 t9 K* m0 ?( F•Responsibilities include relationship management with CIC, AHS and other organizations; community development planning and activities; participation in and leadership of agency-wide projects.
4 ]3 X) Z; X6 Z•Coordination with other program coordinators in LINC, ECALA, family, youth and senior programs is essential; i x) l( {8 y5 L
9 j3 _3 J% f4 N$ g6 qQualifications:
) z: M0 q5 c% }4 O•University degree or diploma in a related field or extensive related experience ;
7 J i' O0 _5 @- z•Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit/voluntary organization;
' M3 L9 s- l1 B•Knowledge of settlement/cross-cultural processes, human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;! J8 \6 F) E6 E4 B, U- b' K: ]. }
•Two or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization or demonstrated potential
0 ^1 V7 z# I! C$ n7 R$ Q•Fluent in English, knowledge of another language is preferred but not mandatory.
