The College's Objects as follows under The Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009:! S! p" V% x2 I" p
1. To establish the scope of practice for trades.

2. To regulate the practice of trades.. h: u8 q+ x- q1 [* h5 E6 w
% S, l" t# c" c3. To govern the members of the College.

4. To develop, establish and maintain qualifications for membership in the College.

/ f. @$ R' U$ p; h5. To issue certificates of qualification and statements of membership to members of the College and renew, amend, suspend, cancel, revoke or reinstate those certificates and statements as appropriate.

2 D9 e6 V8 c- W% ~0 \11. To receive and investigate complaints against members of the College and to deal with issues of discipline, misconduct, incompetency and incapacity.
