Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

Responsibilities and Tasks
/ z& D$ [. L0 T( `& M+ b4 N6 S- ?* ]! u1 [1 r) p
- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment . g! p2 q' T+ p' k6 |
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements- |4 Z) g- m2 @3 a& \/ f( T
- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines9 B! P7 m% g1 m3 [* m
- Select type and size of pipe required- }6 p' c' [6 j, i
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
7 l; r1 \" Z1 m. R- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
8 u; z, y. |7 Z9 w+ ]9 t- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
. v4 |/ f5 _9 L, f4 G- Test system for leaks using testing equipment* @ C3 }( Y U( N
- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
& w7 d B6 |. D) s, f( |+ R% `- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
% q/ z8 y8 \2 j& ^& M" G- Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
' ?3 z8 `4 Z! A \- Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

$ j& r! V# c6 h& b1 [- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
7 L4 E) p- j& q. f9 R, ~* k- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, x- D0 z1 N) R
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

- Safety tickets are considered an asset
