Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

9 v# V) K1 ?, xPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
9 F$ d, Z; R$ P: l& N3 o- E• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST. F5 w* u1 i& C$ D ?1 H% O m ^
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately) ]1 x1 g! i# R& L
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter) x% @# T$ r2 w
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents& V9 E. U2 N# A1 ?. D' I! I
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker0 u) J# Q9 w E! K) A- t
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events5 K) M+ g, r& }! Q
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

6 W1 n4 k3 F- Y, R• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
# h# [- Z4 i& Q: h& S+ m. e8 p0 Z• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset; n! M% j" x! ^3 `
• Good English writing and oral communication skills' n( A+ N9 \4 k+ H
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
v9 q0 z8 X2 E, T9 M y; ~4 J' s• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:
/ u* { U7 M- m0 K. Z• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
' n4 g( a$ w3 g8 j• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment; R* q' t7 F* k: w' c
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism& W3 o4 |; M k1 A4 U2 W
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
