Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 1 a2 f4 u3 O3 X, g

Key Responsibilities:
/ R: R0 x2 @- b• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
7 q' O2 K- X0 {9 G: f9 N• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST7 C# ~! h Y+ k, q/ V! T4 R3 b3 R
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately! L- ~8 Z5 }3 q2 l2 A
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
7 u' y2 N$ {& @0 R% v• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents r6 s5 q% _: M& e. f
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
2 c- D. }" Z$ s7 C• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events9 ^( g1 S7 [' k* _, c
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events* ?7 h, O9 a; a- z" D9 a& \
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean5 D: }: H3 A# {0 e6 J H% ^
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Report to ISP Program Manager

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person9 n) I3 b$ f/ Z6 N4 T/ f
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset; F$ f0 z" x# @8 s
• Good English writing and oral communication skills/ L6 @/ U4 q7 K3 y2 R
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
: A* l6 {8 ^. C0 r c• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Knowledge of immigrant services

Qualifications:, o! Q7 w4 d9 Q+ n: `
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 8 \7 X+ m6 o- ^0 i6 ^7 ~4 B, W
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment v7 @; c7 S. L& L$ q( m( W
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism' F# ]4 O4 j, T0 V# G
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
