% P: t* ]$ w! k& b! }( J6 E% SPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
K& o! Z: L& c( x8 c• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person- C# k% ?6 w% K: y9 H+ N" \: ]
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
2 m8 y( f8 F, D• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately( \7 c' @) E+ _0 F! b6 C+ o/ h) J
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter) G+ M" b3 Z; | z) ?1 x
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents/ l; F: \) l2 P2 g
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker% ~, S: X+ [! h- m2 E
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events3 ^( H" T+ g* H) L9 n5 J
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events. H# \ v) O. S! U, h' c% t& g
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
% Z: m, ?- X$ d$ }• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
( U6 Y( X& z# Q, q5 j2 x• Maintain front counter service files

; g2 ^7 n8 @. I. F4 P8 i• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
* ?0 A( P k4 v8 t9 i5 y• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset0 W+ u: e6 e1 Z- {, f& m0 ?! a* Q3 {& s
• Good English writing and oral communication skills2 O4 n j0 W& ^% Z& ^5 j
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients/ x1 { w, H- r5 z
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook; S, U# q5 a3 p4 T- ] R1 \6 x
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
: B% X+ _+ Y1 b, q8 L4 [/ o4 D• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism: R% j2 B; N/ |1 x! _' {; V1 x
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision1 p9 J) @6 f) y* [" a, ]9 Q2 G
