Hours of Work: Part-time (21 hours per week)

PPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
, c( u" H: I$ S8 @4 B! d; _% L0 L• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
( L$ h9 s# q0 [# [; q' h" V• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter3 F) [3 \( }- y" K, x3 ^% M2 a9 C
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
8 \% o" h7 W' O• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker6 b9 r/ t4 R+ `. O
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events! v/ ?9 ^ c. g2 c- t
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events4 m1 D3 V# R- d
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:0 ~8 ^ i$ Z# {; ^; ^
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person6 E6 Z- s3 q8 q2 q9 z
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset, U, O' x1 R, v/ c" ?" B" s% E
• Good English writing and oral communication skills

• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook9 }+ M6 Q% n" D/ }4 z5 u7 B
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

Qualifications:/ X5 X! ^3 W# i$ V. e
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience ! t- F2 E$ A( m6 u# J7 Z7 I5 L$ k
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
+ E% X8 k; b7 a% O& P• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism0 o& o* j8 S( p! |
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision5 p1 ?6 H3 }. o2 a- b
