Position Title:  Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker
+ m0 o6 ?5 W- H, z! X7 V4 OHours of Work: Part-time (21 hours per week). E2 o' y8 P- `  K- t% G! _
Anticipated Start Date: The candidate is required to work immediately

& v' [& y  H* i; E1 C/ A3 o7 APosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
9 C9 S2 K; k/ t, t: w, u& `& f•        Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person- r( U, O5 b0 _5 f6 e
•        Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST7 P6 D/ h3 ~& [7 m, P& V1 G. r  |
•        Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
( _& x' X4 J, M# k7 u, {•        Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
# A9 i/ a5 @; r: g0 S) v•        Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents7 `. O/ m: x- k: s4 k  I* ~% i9 b
•        Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
" l4 U0 m' m$ H" n8 S•        Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
; y+ G1 ?$ l5 o$ j8 l8 h•        Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
% \( [, P! z0 s( s3 `  N1 t•        Keep the reception area tidy and clean% m0 a! s. D. K4 U* _$ d
•        Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters2 h' K" t8 q# t* A
•        Maintain front counter service files: C7 r9 ]" H# d
•        Perform general office duties as assigned/ W! N7 U7 B; g, q$ Y# x2 l8 _
•        Report to ISP Program Manager0 v8 n) {9 |, m0 x2 ^4 p( G* q7 ]7 c

1 R: D8 D3 B3 f2 _) p* h+ i8 ]Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
, ~3 S- a6 w- c5 Y8 G0 f, A•        Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person3 u, I+ l  N# V) w6 ], h
•        Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset( u  E/ J) X! M1 L& h
•        Good English writing and oral communication skills
9 ?' l5 p5 B( L. S•        Ability to work with newcomers and general clients# H" P% Y4 X3 E& A: I% j7 k) w' q8 F
•        Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
8 Q# o- O5 O. G* q; M•        Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately . a, T1 ?  V# |8 o/ q+ G
•        Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds/ Y% T( s( t- E5 M' j6 z1 b1 w+ }" w" }
•        Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment
( O) }/ j' f' e1 U1 A) w  T, G•        Knowledge of immigrant services

. D% z6 W) h+ F0 t4 A# W$ O; JQualifications:
) n/ L3 F' Z, b, B•        2-4 years of office and clerical experience 7 A0 }: R* p" E3 D6 I; R; k
•        Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
- U+ n+ u* K- u/ C0 a7 _3 p" E. I•        Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism7 y0 ]' x( e9 S9 K# c/ h, L) n
•        Ability to work well under minimal supervision
+ L1 ^6 e$ W& W" y% g1 O1 d  b; D  _  a6 @! d; A$ |
