Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker( I1 Q6 n6 j* @1 f; q
Hours of Work: Part-time (21 hours per week)

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. & Q# u- a( W- S

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
! O9 j7 S6 H! \, _3 l! G• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
, W8 U& H8 c1 Q3 g• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
' P$ I, b& x% h2 x* `- r6 ]• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
+ w" G, h- ~9 v J4 |• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
4 v0 }: A9 ~1 e' k' M0 O• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker% j- o w* y/ w6 o) D% M
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
* q; O% u/ v! \ G2 \• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events+ i' D6 ^5 t# b g) N P
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
! l9 m9 c( g9 ^" s• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
' \8 ^4 p+ l8 A; D7 E) [* u8 ^• Maintain front counter service files
. b5 G; x" Y; Z, L8 M• Perform general office duties as assigned

& m7 H& ]( A: u! [Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
7 j) u; N) h1 ]. j4 o! g9 n/ s7 ]• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
" s3 d$ O5 ], v' E( z• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
4 c: I/ o, M, h% ^6 _• Good English writing and oral communication skills- ^9 v8 J4 F) u
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
9 ^2 U! o5 Z6 ]• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

. u$ {8 t- f* {+ _) h p7 Z• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience & `& i! i$ b! P* _ X
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
