Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

& v' [& y H* i; E1 C/ A3 o7 APosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
9 C9 S2 K; k/ t, t: w, u& `& f• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person- r( U, O5 b0 _5 f6 e
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST7 P6 D/ h3 ~& [7 m, P& V1 G. r |
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
( _& x' X4 J, M# k7 u, {• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
# A9 i/ a5 @; r: g0 S) v• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents7 `. O/ m: x- k: s4 k I* ~% i9 b
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
" l4 U0 m' m$ H" n8 S• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
; y+ G1 ?$ l5 o$ j8 l8 h• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters2 h' K" t8 q# t* A
• Maintain front counter service files: C7 r9 ]" H# d
• Perform general office duties as assigned/ W! N7 U7 B; g, q$ Y# x2 l8 _

• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset( u E/ J) X! M1 L& h
• Good English writing and oral communication skills

• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds/ Y% T( s( t- E5 M' j6 z1 b1 w+ }" w" }
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

) n/ L3 F' Z, b, B• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 7 A0 }: R* p" E3 D6 I; R; k
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
- U+ n+ u* K- u/ C0 a7 _3 p" E. I• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism7 y0 ]' x( e9 S9 K# c/ h, L) n
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
