; g: G, q! f) a$ z( ?3 Z6 K7 QTo support the Executive Director with fundraising, special events and will be instrumental in the development of our Social Enterprise. This position will also be working directly with children 6-12 years old to teach life skills such as self esteem, communication skills, peer relations using recreation and physical activities to promote growth. Small group facilitation, one-to-ones, family support, advocacy and referrals are used to achieve program outcomes. $ ]& a- a9 Z+ O' {8 s
1 H9 ^. \- d, O) ^2 W- r/ [This is a full time, one year term position working 37.5 hours per week with 10-15 hours per week dedicated to the children’s programming. (Continuation of this position will depend on available funding)0 ?5 Z9 J% K' N

Administrative Duties and Responsibilities include:
, e" I5 Q1 N1 \• Working together with the Executive Director to solidify new funding opportunities and write funding reports as needed;; p; u( K2 K* w$ B5 L
• Supporting in the overall development of programs and activities that benefit our community and our children;
* r& f7 w, d2 t7 o• Maintaining and evaluating program outcomes;' f7 L2 R, g( @' U5 P
• Spearheading the further develop our social enterprise; 3 B d. a9 C0 S* \% J7 [& K
• Risk Management and succession planning;

Program Duties and Responsibilities include:
8 U7 u L9 h: R ?: l* K• Maintaining comprehensive and objective contact notes related to child or conversations with others about child;
& Y$ S o3 x5 B' ~5 N• Maintaining confidentiality related to all participant information;
2 ], ^4 H' N9 T7 H: T+ v• Liaising and/or advocate with school personnel, parent/guardian, and child, as required;+ Y; G" G4 i# Z' V1 P/ k# W* ?
• Creatively planning, organizing, and evaluating small group and one-to-one activities
: |2 r ^2 P4 A8 A• Participating in establishing achievable program outcomes and employ group strategies and activities to achieve the same;
9 p, J0 Q: J: m+ b• Meeting with participants on a one-to-one basis to help them achieve success with their goals;
! _7 J7 D$ @3 e0 _; @; O• Building and maintaining positive relationships with children in groups;# y0 n* D% M7 ~2 _/ X
• Participating in the planning and implementation of family activities for participants & families;

• Degree in communications, human services or related field;. B! t6 |+ Y6 r5 N) X1 |$ i% U Z; C& l
• Extensive knowledge of the not for profit or voluntary sector;1 b" B3 c% ~! H$ m( p
• Knowledge of all federal and provincial legislation applicable to voluntary sector organizations; - `. k& U9 O- n# d" V
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with experience in writing funding proposals and reports a must;
$ j- k; @) I" Z- r• The abilities to multi-task, creatively problem solve, communicate effectively, foster teamwork, and build relationships are critical.
! k& {4 `# X) i3 Q$ H' ~• Extensive experience in group facilitation and working with children;. x. ~; Z3 ~# F5 {
• Current certificates in Aboriginal Cultural Awareness, Suicide Intervention, Standard First Aid and CPR, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention are preferred;
- `/ E& r9 N, P E' }. y6 J2 Z• Clear CYIM, Security Clearance, and Driver’s Abstract;9 K6 I8 i+ C+ `# V& i- B4 d
• Current valid drivers license;

• Clear understanding of professional boundaries;
