- provide volunteers to update membership database6 z) H2 H& S& |0 r4 V
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers6 v6 |7 _/ e; A5 k& j0 I
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties" A Y5 w/ e- ?2 l
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties- l5 u9 w' @& U u3 s0 A1 F
- provide volunteers for various programs
5 ], F5 ^8 v3 z5 }! M- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual2 S, A3 Q. o& l% z/ |$ v: L8 i5 N
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation7 G% N" A+ C6 ?- p0 {
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities W9 C& q2 H+ p, Y
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
( U( X5 ~ ~% B f# J" |# I& B- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports. ?0 o/ {- g" h3 ~( J1 d! R, o/ L
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed% o' [* O. U" M9 F5 r! \! f7 h2 V W5 s
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed9 y- F1 a1 O. b% s* z* X+ u5 v4 _
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)$ W) o/ ?4 M; B! V6 n
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events : I6 _6 h T" @
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
; N3 C' s. x0 N- h6 c8 @' L- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers 0 h7 A7 z- J* u* v* l
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
$ r- u# D* W# C, r- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis - e' W5 A$ [1 V: w/ K
- evaluations

& a$ u; K3 \7 D! A- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
# X2 B9 J( r( N7 k3 \5 D- good oral and written Chinese and English skills- I/ H( E3 K2 q/ p$ Z
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
* E a( d% E: E5 H ]- leadership skills
' e: n S/ `, I2 ]- management and supervision skills+ ?# e |" C8 o' t
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
