Position Title: Volunteer Coordinator
Hours of Work: 17.5 hours per week
7 R& F# w! b$ V# N4 n3 GKey Responsibilities
# M* T; p5 M/ P( g# m-        submit information for community news
& t+ ]: o$ j& B. ^2 Y$ `$ R-        provide volunteers to update membership database
: h& o/ q' J" m0 D* b+ b; Z-        recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
-        train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
7 O4 j( S! f/ A! k' }8 v: i-        train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
: M0 `$ J( V5 T# P% V7 {7 s-        provide volunteers for various programs
-        coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
. R# H0 D1 b  `" F! U-        planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
6 [4 ?4 n; e; L# Q-        participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
-        assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
-        provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
; p) {& ^$ V/ K5 ]' K' U-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
9 c+ B* Y8 o  ]' b2 C3 M-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
-        promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events  
. T# O1 h( r+ @4 L+ {' j  a-        development and distribution of a volunteer manual  
-        planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
% y* j. x  y. w& X+ l. F: j-        planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
% O3 w6 A' G2 ~* U-        consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis
-        evaluations
-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

8 y* p/ X, i- e0 `, _2 i2 gQualifications
-        degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
-        experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
-        leadership skills
# B' }$ H/ M3 c, v-        management and supervision skills
3 m' G9 ]9 Q+ |- p-        exceptional communication, interpersonal skills

Security check (at the expense of employee) and child welfare check

# K8 K& x8 ~% B" D8 t2 Y这个职位不是义工，而是义工统筹员，是有报酬的一个part time工作，而报酬的金额根据教育和经验程度而定。
