What is the criteria for reporting a traffic accident? Can I phone it in?
: u5 P" v" @2 REffective August 1, 2002, Saskatchewan motorists will only have to report motor vehicle collisions to police if the collision involves:
. d( d& V8 U1 N: {+ X3 V- c2 y9 _1) Any bodily injury or death;
) s$ V5 a; N7 J8 ]2) A Hit-and-Run;
+ |; j/ z) Y9 f7 e5 Z. g! K- g3) A driver impaired by alcohol or drugs;
9 \' `7 K6 u; \/ n. w5 r4) A motor vehicle towed from the scene;( n9 y" V7 Z5 ?2 [( E! Z5 |
5) An out-of-province vehicle.

Normally, police would be dispatched to the collisions described above. One exception may be an owner's discovery that his/her vehicle has been damaged in a hit-and-run, but the vehicle can still be safely driven to Police Headquarters.
