Effective August 1, 2002, Saskatchewan motorists will only have to report motor vehicle collisions to police if the collision involves:
0 [; F( A8 e( J! d. N1) Any bodily injury or death;, I Q1 w' T8 ^4 I* Y& C# a0 y
2) A Hit-and-Run;* Q4 ]* i( }1 X0 t" h
3) A driver impaired by alcohol or drugs;' t0 A9 e3 {4 V8 o! P Q* m! ^; s
4) A motor vehicle towed from the scene;
7 S6 {& S$ s# @. l% w" g5) An out-of-province vehicle.4 S; K0 S* q8 i' Q
' J9 \1 G! p4 A, ~Normally, police would be dispatched to the collisions described above. One exception may be an owner's discovery that his/her vehicle has been damaged in a hit-and-run, but the vehicle can still be safely driven to Police Headquarters. In such a case, the owner could make a report in person at Police Headquarters., ?# y3 ^$ q6 x5 P7 ]( G1 Q
