Position Summary:
2 O) m1 U- b6 d3 j; Q* d% ` eWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

5 F+ N# j. k. W9 U- f% r; w• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person8 X! ^7 ~; g" c% h3 J+ C ]% j
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
2 F! n5 c7 [/ H• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
6 T# \( g' }4 K% j% A: S• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter. {, D) N5 t+ m& T' z5 J
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
4 I, r& s8 s9 ?* d4 l, @& y• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker7 P. n# K( z( L% G/ _- c- V9 a+ l% }$ g
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events! a0 a6 ?, t! m$ z0 c' [: d: `/ T
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events3 w! _- o: t( r
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean

• Maintain front counter service files$ t2 Z' T- Z1 V# l; R, y

0 b, ?) h) w7 s5 V7 uKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
, s7 }' A( c6 i* T• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
' p* P1 N# [! P. _5 ?• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset! T: }0 {+ C, @; r) l7 `. }
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
0 f& ]: C }. [1 d. ]• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients7 R: E; I5 s, _# C, a5 o
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook$ x5 D# z7 a. [$ a
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
3 H6 h0 o) b9 J9 K) X. A• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:
. K! ^: t4 }# K3 w2 ?# Y' N• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience % O9 }* l. C# G. @
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment4 p! \( I! ]2 @! }1 ^- x
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism7 F' U1 p$ i* _1 q+ W
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
