Description
) [, k+ T! ~, @# B  t: s5 O7 OTracer Industries Canada Limited (owned by Tyco Thermal Controls) is now accepting applications for a Senior Human Resources Generalist.
; ?# q: E0 V' t9 T7 ^  _* qReporting to the Human Resources Manager, your duties will include, but not be limited to:
" u4 C) i; I! {4 b% g2 A0 l•        Encourage and enhance a positive and professional working environment.* I8 a& `8 j; R) F
•        Foster positive employee relations through effective interpersonal communication with all team members.0 X- S3 U3 |9 A4 F
•        Support the introduction, training and participation in Human Resources related programs, including performance management, ethical conduct and career development.
" N* K# }& L4 \( |' N•        Promote management best practices and provide guidance on employment standards and employee relations issues.
4 [" O; e2 J1 g•        Research, develop and implement recognition and retention strategies and initiatives. 5 j7 z% t- o/ w, S$ _- I  t5 z) _: g6 T
•        Participate in full cycle recruitment process to successfully attract candidates.
" F7 y& `6 q1 g•        Prepare required Human Resources reporting (including ad hoc reports, turnover statistics, organizational charts, employee updates, weekly recruiting reporting) as required.4 w; @) C1 \# z( k9 J) N% O
•        Distribute pertinent information to the Payroll Department and Tracer's benefit providers.
/ F* Q6 h) ]* G. ^•        Maintain personnel information for union and non-union employees in Tracer's Human Resources Information System (SAP).
# ~+ N* g* V3 u) K* _, N; @' C0 c& P•        Coordinate the company group RRSP plan and employee stock purchase program.9 ^' }- b* H# R- \& A) G9 A! B
•        Support the development and implementation of company forms, policies and procedures.# c1 Z5 G; b* h
•        Attend and participate in departmental meetings.- Q+ Y/ x5 L1 g, E3 U
•        Assist with the formulation and implementation of internal training programs.
5 P, y- \" D& g•        Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
/ k3 H% [: C& P! e5 I•        Additional special projects as required by the Human Resources Manager.

Qualifications( p# q0 S6 b" ?! y! k$ E
Requirements:
& E" `0 Z5 o' F/ c5 l4 @•        Applicants must possess a high level of integrity and professionalism, as well as strong organizational and written and verbal communication skills.
) r; J9 d* i5 i. g/ G•        The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience in a Human Resources Generalist position, as well as post-secondary education specializing in Human Resources. 2 J* |6 r5 [& ^' r! |1 v9 v0 E
•        Strong Union Relations experience required. . d1 M; ]0 b; a) V0 ?  r- X
•        Proficiency in MS Office is required and SAP experience is considered an asset.
- g& V( x  @% i4 l, E•        CHRP Designation is an asset.% s/ U0 ^1 U& c; B8 Z4 q
