Senior C#.net / SQL consultant. 1yr contract starting April 2nd, 2012.

In general, key aspects of the role are:
% ]0 M' f% Q" J8 d! {3 [5 W4 t-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new
technology;
-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
- j$ I. d9 V- }! ?-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
-        Participate in peer reviews;
" p- M' S  T* \; S5 m-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
-        Programming planned enhancements;
-        Testing system changes;
  j8 \: F7 e+ v" N  w3 v& D1 m6 N-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
department’s change management processes;
0 Y3 D* m# @4 I-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
. g: }. B/ E- b# K-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
% \2 c8 x0 B5 c) C. B0 [4 N. ~-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
-        Lead short term projects;
* d5 g  ~& N, Q$ Y, O( ?-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
/ t% {, n% P% d7 a4 b9 C+ r( y-        Excellent written communication skills;
-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure
effective delivery of service; and
-        Understanding of project management.

A. Mandatory Requirements
(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
for incorporating new technology.

(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)
% T4 d( P; X% a& u# F1 @/ [
(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

/ ]4 {* \( D1 \7 z  x(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

9 f2 [! ^3 c1 s: ?: d(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

(h) Experience with one or more of the following tools:

- IBatis.NET, or MyBatis.NET
- Nunit
6 b- O) Q4 B; D3 H3 {! f- Crystal Reports
- Pdflib
- Microsoft Project Portfolio Server

(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
) x% p2 Y1 e5 ~7 a5 O8 O( U- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
% s7 A3 B* K+ M/ y8 w7 y# P. `- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
