it all depand on what you want. a diamond ring can be broken down into the following 4 categories:

0 I# w8 O5 f# O; I& jif you want a very high clarity and colour, then $10K CAD may only get you a 0.5 ct diamond if you don't care as much about colour and clarity, then you can easily get a 1.0 ct or bigger ring. typically, girls care more about the clarity and size.

if i remember correctly, last year, I saw a diamond ring at costco with 0.75 ct, E (colour), VVS2 (clarity), very well cut cost around $12K CAD. comes with a canadian certifiation. |
