• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed4 t7 A! Z% T; b' X+ M. E) P
• Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components0 z9 S, ^. Q5 G1 E. N+ U
• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers
) ]/ v, }# o. X' B7 l# y• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams* T: `$ @9 d8 m8 r6 ^) h; d: e
• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place8 j& e) W) M# g5 R- B" c3 O8 J! Q! v
• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment! o" C0 [7 u6 R9 b1 C. I* }
• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
9 j1 K7 |8 A9 J9 ^5 u8 P• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting, R F4 y! p$ ^7 e: ?
• Mix paint, blend and match colors
: f5 c8 O) w, _: v8 m• Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns9 V" @6 }- v& x+ _1 z: v6 X
• Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs
7 p6 a3 e+ J5 _8 v. y/ X+ F• Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation

Education and Experience Requirements:3 v' Q# g& o; O9 P( b
• Completion of secondary school is required
6 N0 D5 t, r1 G2 t/ k( o; ~( z• Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program ) c6 |, C q! S7 F+ y6 E$ c/ O/ d
or" {! C- I! Y. v b$ S
A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade
! Z- e7 Z; w# A1 _1 i t- C• Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory 9 w8 f/ x: {, f5 h6 j
