/ @9 L+ g8 q9 I" S9 {7 _5 `( ]• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed. P, m/ z* r# Y; {4 u
• Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components! x, Z5 _. e3 B$ M% c
• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers2 c5 Q5 k' }: ?8 R- o! |" g9 [$ o
• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
6 {( ^+ A; D* D• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place- D: c6 Y; B% U3 f0 T7 @7 @8 f; b
• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment4 R$ \6 C( h& q
• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools( |9 C& G; K! ]
• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting. h: v) j2 g- n. B7 C% ]. t
• Mix paint, blend and match colors" m, a( @) ~4 F
• Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns
1 q; o% I' E" r• Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs* u* H7 q3 x! x+ V" w
• Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation
4 a* [0 U1 [" f8 [• Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling

• Completion of secondary school is required
/ f# O% i2 F' a# G( d$ B• Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program 3 k; G+ n( F7 J+ ?# Q

A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade
