Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker0 T( l" }- v$ M* ~7 j

! d3 H. c- t. `% U' h Q0 rPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
2 s" D2 m( M8 w/ {% e3 Z' l& x• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
2 S1 r4 ^$ G* G7 N% X# P6 L• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
- Z. `* `- M ^) `+ [• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately, ?4 b1 r7 ~ R. }# ?
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter# S* }2 H4 b2 X$ }% x
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings% x% M0 H' F5 }' O$ t
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents' Q3 K. @$ M) o3 r6 _4 B
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker* _. q5 W4 G# g1 B
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events

• Keep the reception area tidy and clean/ t+ C! l. W. X/ F; c
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:7 b: |# C/ y( g9 L N
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person) n) C' m& h0 L2 D$ F0 F
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
) H* H, z7 `$ a1 W% F, C• Good English writing and oral communication skills% j: `9 g0 ^4 q/ z& C* J6 Z
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
" {: \5 P9 K' a: j5 |7 d5 X3 Y• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment* N. |6 k6 e; H' w' r1 U$ o
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
: ]( o( N" M- s& T/ ]• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
