Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker* i* o0 Z7 i$ E
Hours of Work: Part-time (10 hours per week)

4 t5 O# L+ x' c4 t2 @Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
- [% s) [% J {, u/ x7 x; ^' o" A• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
, [# I: e% N& X• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST" E0 c% |& a1 n! s6 B
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
( ^" O1 g8 j2 @/ W8 E• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter. ?$ |! ~1 A6 c8 T" N
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
' H8 R% ~, C- l• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents/ c- Z4 j8 S X; }0 R8 X7 D
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
9 a' R5 g. c4 f+ S7 G• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events$ z' P% T9 G& O7 w
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
' v D4 u: b2 \4 {* c2 y• Keep the reception area tidy and clean; R& u [# L8 {
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:& K0 _) t' U* o: K a/ e+ _
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
/ x. J8 c6 h( V& b- @) N% y• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
9 A5 N4 i7 j9 G% B; M• Good English writing and oral communication skills
1 s& B$ r) |& R4 y" v2 p5 u, M. ^• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients. x0 a5 }; u( Z# h( f1 |5 `; U
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook$ o& T" V7 Z& f3 | m7 c* C
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately + f8 m: I4 q0 J3 _# I9 Z
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds3 p" S# A3 o3 L/ i
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:) C* y6 Y$ h$ K5 l# t4 y6 n" ~; \- v
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 0 B& R8 d2 J8 c+ K
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
, j- M. I8 ?- B• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism2 ?4 N& A( S% `! u: b
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision, l; J/ [& W' d3 k- a
