; n) n3 q$ {: J5 k& A& LPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

: V0 L6 _& K& Y• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
2 [$ h2 R4 Z) s' T! C• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST( b; S8 V4 D1 s( O6 ^7 B! s7 V4 {2 m
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately; w# D" w! \6 w0 y; I- W+ K
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter% u4 ?) h# r( S5 r
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings% O) E- M+ E5 t6 v" o
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents% z4 l4 s/ ^: X) R2 U% ?6 c. @
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker1 M; e+ W9 ^) R4 F
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
9 e: n/ W/ J2 t2 q" Q* x5 U- O• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
) ^6 C" _5 H/ [; c" G• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
k" q, B& }6 R• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
; G" J4 R O" @) X$ o0 K- z• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
" u. i, W+ r2 @• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person" n% ^0 d+ C$ j
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset$ O- \7 T' E5 [# ]7 x* U% ]% m
• Good English writing and oral communication skills& Q% f) \3 C$ W6 G
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients6 d- V' o2 B' @0 `+ T
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:
& n8 T5 \: i! z. P% G: c$ D3 K• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience , g9 b) R x0 C/ X; o& E _( v8 s$ \
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
4 k9 o. P4 M$ @• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism+ W6 N% V) r5 p& _% n
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
