Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker, c& l* H. |; t

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

! F8 ~. \* N5 K$ ^. {• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person5 E- `7 |1 z! l1 d1 H' ]
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
, d, Z% c& W1 b* Q• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately0 I1 D. I' D8 h+ T. ]6 W
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
8 e+ J% D2 A) `• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings0 [0 |" ?! A/ g+ f& X% c+ Y; {, W
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
/ c% ?' ]% ~1 u% _• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker- B; H0 K6 |2 O! g; C
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
, B( E! v( w- `0 Y6 b7 y5 v' ?/ R1 W• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters" ?; X# `' b! I
• Maintain front counter service files) v3 l* ^& @0 z. B
• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:; D: f& I" C2 v9 q
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person% Z$ v- V T5 m1 e2 ~8 |: M
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
I; j" m! f. |• Good English writing and oral communication skills

• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook' Y. M3 a' X$ u' m$ ~! F* |
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately 7 A. z8 i- W7 l/ h8 u
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds9 ?1 o1 M$ o, a, ?; Y' @- r% q$ ^
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

6 Q5 C0 `5 |! T f! w2 b• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
9 t" B: M/ b, p% y• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment

• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
