Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker
* }) f# D, e3 UHours of Work: Part-time (10 hours per week)

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
3 t5 I( ?. R+ T0 |• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST: H$ H9 o% F7 _, ]: Z: r
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
" E9 P2 ^7 ~$ X7 |) Z" {• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter" X9 C& ~" ~# c7 j4 @/ U7 |
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings( Q0 n; y. n% T' W
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
8 o) Q5 h; r% k• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker1 w' ?$ E% }2 o8 `
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
! o4 C$ ?% E" E, _% L) S& D( U• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events! v7 `2 _1 t$ `; n0 J
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean. ^0 Y p7 w, [" R% u3 I
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters( O4 h; v. w3 w) O2 J: l3 i0 b: z7 S
• Maintain front counter service files9 V, w3 j- L+ R; W
• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:; I0 e6 @, j+ |2 Z/ h- U
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
( o9 d; C2 k9 v6 a6 k+ x3 \5 p• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset8 _ U8 W' s1 B4 d3 J2 k& y5 i/ O
• Good English writing and oral communication skills# M ?: T$ u& x' j) I
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients' @; M2 A x2 {$ e
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
; S( s* [' A* L" ]' t• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately . v3 d) D6 d+ ~6 F. ]" |. G1 e8 J" F8 ~
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 2 t' [4 N4 V( s1 N" m$ X# P
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment/ C2 t T4 X1 o5 a1 X! M
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
