Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 2 i [; m3 f, I8 R+ u3 d• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person1 q7 M: s5 W1 N, g3 A$ f# c( B
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST4 l& v. |3 b3 z* w! M' {$ ^% v
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately( I) v% S# k' B ]% ~& ~) X( T
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter- u& g! ]2 A9 ^, i
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings; ~ R' w0 g: {' a4 j" c
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents1 N4 r! ]; G7 H) Y3 ]$ C1 V
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
7 f6 ~5 m- k* `+ m Y• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
/ X# Z l0 X+ m( a6 [- q1 l) ^• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters V1 |* l+ s: T: R, b
• Maintain front counter service files

• Report to ISP Program Manager

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
: K, Z0 f' ]4 G. }: X• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset: o- t: c, W* \0 I' |2 t( I
• Good English writing and oral communication skills% p* P) ]$ K: q) D: H) _0 p
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients$ a! Y7 O$ T, ~7 W
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
$ h. T' \" g6 @1 B• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
& K9 u1 ~7 b, F# Q. Y• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds# w2 \( V2 ^! d- H3 L0 ~8 c) J
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment
& A- J, J( u! D& w8 j• Knowledge of immigrant services

7 d I$ M, X9 R( r& Y2 j• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience ' K; L# v, t: e
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment! N" _; q# B% o! v. B6 U
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism5 x4 u3 f- j# h0 n4 e4 ^/ [
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision! G& {4 j1 A6 {
