YWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties. 1 a, x; {4 J) g( V, A
Job Responsibilities:

• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired
5 l( S. ]- @2 X# H3 j( ^$ K7 f/ X1 U• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll
0 _6 S& {) w3 G7 Y3 R3 w) W• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
) X7 g* S7 Q; o/ P# a• Input benefit deductions into payroll

: R( e* E2 Q& t3 C& f iReporting duties:# ? e+ R* t& m- b. I
• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider- T- F/ o7 D2 x: {. Z
• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website' ?: W1 e7 [( v& S5 m
• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
/ l* c. D$ W$ \/ T4 q9 k• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority

- i t& }$ s6 ~* {Compliance:
( r, N* ~) s. ~; T( G- Z" j( J• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll 8 `0 s* |; }9 M
• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.
# R. ?7 b( j1 P) F6 f0 {• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies
' X! I/ @- Y( E1 u• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

Accounts Receivable:; E& ]* t1 }3 g! R* B
• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit
/ R. |3 B# V$ \$ q5 w) Q' b• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department3 T* F, H& X$ a
• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments
* B4 e- l9 U1 H: i( x3 a• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing* L; h$ K( `: \& ?; o5 c' q. l( x

Qualifications:
8 y% K7 W- {& Y- d) J, Y, e2 r- y* }0 x E; J
• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP
1 S* I. I$ |( H3 I3 M1 e" I• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
. S( {9 X9 \, Y& K$ s9 p. A• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position/ m+ J2 a6 v! Z, g
• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office
