) b# c8 T0 y& GYWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties. / H& m9 P' @8 F7 Z
Job Responsibilities:

• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired
# M9 g* n2 Z& H+ D& D• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll$ n1 q$ X6 }0 `7 R
• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
; x% y" b8 M; N- P e. a• Input benefit deductions into payroll/ k% p2 S- B* y9 A. v9 t0 s
' c2 L S% \3 i' W, J- cReporting duties:/ S3 i) d. ~) T9 n4 T! Z' y
• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider% ^* M3 h+ _8 v! P) W5 b
• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website+ \* X2 g& _8 k& W- v* k: r0 U
• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
O. H. m/ \+ F9 t• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority( S) _6 |" V/ k, T; L) e3 }; z
• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations

' l+ {# ^' s/ E3 i# v5 S• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll $ ?$ k# u3 E3 a0 l2 |8 [" q/ P
• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.( C$ F2 F$ R! E; d I" F* X
• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies' N) K( Z: W4 J
• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting" G/ s3 a- z' X) G" B) W
% A. `7 H! c7 _3 y. D0 i# jAccounts Receivable:% l* F4 r# U' a
• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit
! x( O0 v2 ~6 b( M; n- E, k6 O) S' N• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department- ]0 r C1 b" y: M! K0 T2 K7 p% G
• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments1 `# B* M' G2 x8 I% a$ _; A/ s. A. A
• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing

, A: {* S( n8 f; R( g" XQualifications:6 z, w% l1 C/ k' x( U
4 Q: m7 {6 I ]• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP
5 R" c/ o9 E# l1 F+ u1 w• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association! M0 R1 B! P+ y: }
• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position
+ S/ e4 p. _, |4 G. i0 @• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office$ N& [% ]! f% u! o
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work( h/ `. R v! }
• Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure
