1 O: N5 r1 N% k6 b3 X9 v- u! NYWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties. & F; N( ?- z& L' [
Job Responsibilities:

• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired: g% G9 b4 e) T7 P& |' i6 ]6 V! w
• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll+ j- [- C9 n( I% d: S' G7 ]- `1 Z8 R
• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
3 S3 u4 r0 Y4 M) k" |& R• Input benefit deductions into payroll

( X3 y/ z: o' Y) l• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider/ c$ T" J) N+ |- A7 ]
• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website3 u6 J' h$ r; X4 P' t7 ^6 P
• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s, |: i; L& T5 Z, r3 s, n
• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority$ v" M- J' S9 ?$ C8 T& ^/ ?
• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations* }5 C1 d+ _6 d0 S" ~7 ^" C$ i# c

Compliance:
; U# p# t6 d2 ~9 ^• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll
3 J! X1 E9 _% P# _8 c# N; Q$ {• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.5 @/ f: q0 R% n% ]+ r
• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies. d7 u3 q& S' R0 B4 w' d7 j9 N( M/ @
• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit: Z+ ]2 _, D" Y& P
• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department) d& j& e- Y6 Z' ^
• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments2 D! c; t1 _" e2 ?6 @! x. N
• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing2 |( {, C8 y1 ?- z6 k( [
4 S& I6 P+ B5 C/ h0 j2 ~$ u0 HQualifications:
0 i% }. Q: @1 M7 o6 \/ _. }( H2 g. r% _; X+ m2 O/ [/ H5 r
• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP
& k# a% \5 l. e+ a• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
5 b9 N3 D# l1 Y& x* Y2 A$ v• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position
- R r5 ?+ J. h; m3 S' U4 ]• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office/ p. `- z }7 e: n+ R4 d
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work$ @( }! Y+ g1 k
• Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure+ R7 F+ j+ ~$ O3 `0 N J; i: D0 S" U
• Knowledge and experience of cash handling procedures
