• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired7 `# f) D" ` I: B0 `0 X7 r
• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll5 z# S/ A z1 |0 j6 o" `
• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records & j3 ?7 X" T' y! W+ g
• Input benefit deductions into payroll

Reporting duties:
! H0 ^, [! E/ |+ q: y) ^• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider3 P: D; Z; ~- C: k9 u
• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
7 {+ P9 q: n# c" ~- v• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
' } V6 B0 f0 ]/ a$ |9 b4 e• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority

9 U9 t1 e" [8 `# U• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll
4 r7 f+ ?+ l$ Q9 S; \• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.4 U* Q1 S' K. ~
• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies3 J( S" o- ~( l2 _) e: i
• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

Accounts Receivable:
9 Z0 l3 P. [7 I& R9 {& O• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit9 S* { X& k! B# _3 H% {, I# L
• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
5 K- U C) a; @; e6 U$ c9 L• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments, k& O8 R7 w4 X
• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing, l5 L0 g+ j9 M, o7 s

Qualifications:
* n0 M/ |3 I8 Z, u% t0 q8 l3 A0 u) k" H8 j5 e% T* l
• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP, W+ V$ P. v" j/ a
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
2 @3 `3 J( F0 G( b• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position; V+ |. q: ?9 Z% o4 I$ @- M
• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office4 y' m, k- |* t8 A! E4 V
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work6 i2 x/ b2 O' I. v; d
• Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure
