. g: t* a. {. y; r) B% rAdvocate Non-Violence. YOUCAN has served youth in the Edmonton area for the past
: M$ T2 x$ c, \' dnine years and our mission is to equip youth to engage and inspire others to
* D- E4 d/ w5 _( C  C, ?( L- H* Z) ipeacefully resolve conflicts and develop healthy relationships in their communities.
1 ?# Y  d. y3 O6 S( W. lThe YOUCAN VERTO Project is a Government of Canada and Government of Albertafunded

- E6 `! v7 V7 w& Mproject that will bring at-risk youth together into a unique 15 -week groupbased
employability skills program entitled “The VERTO Project”.
5 l8 H3 f; P% y3 k% l) wThe goal of the VERTO Program is to assist participants in obtaining and maintaining
$ N1 X6 y' |7 C6 O/ |3 |% Kthe skills necessary to bring success into their lives. Verto program will expose
participants to a wide range of components focusing on: employment development,
personal wellness, technology learning, conflict resolution, and exposure courses.
/ R6 W* a6 c" z; D2 ~* |Additionally, we will incorporate topics around health and wellness, volunteerism,
and leadership courses. Verto youth will be provided with a six-month employment
follow-up once the program is completed.

Verto project will run from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the
