1 Q4 n2 ~3 F% C0 U3 ^Advocate Non-Violence. YOUCAN has served youth in the Edmonton area for the past
nine years and our mission is to equip youth to engage and inspire others to
! Q7 q4 i! m' ~- Opeacefully resolve conflicts and develop healthy relationships in their communities.
The YOUCAN VERTO Project is a Government of Canada and Government of Albertafunded

project that will bring at-risk youth together into a unique 15 -week groupbased
, m8 L, ~4 w9 [' H: Hemployability skills program entitled “The VERTO Project”.
* O  x+ Z1 _1 _0 c, ]9 w* Z! ZThe goal of the VERTO Program is to assist participants in obtaining and maintaining
# f* H0 g( N: r) ?the skills necessary to bring success into their lives. Verto program will expose
) B1 E) w7 b, b+ ]$ yparticipants to a wide range of components focusing on: employment development,
personal wellness, technology learning, conflict resolution, and exposure courses.
+ ?& \# s; E4 S, o* {& {Additionally, we will incorporate topics around health and wellness, volunteerism,
and leadership courses. Verto youth will be provided with a six-month employment
follow-up once the program is completed.

Verto project will run from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the
! i+ h, N4 A0 _8 W  K- B1 N+ H" ]* JYOUCAN office, located at 11124-130 St. (Westmount Jr. High School) in Edmonton, Alberta.
