$ ^, {' }+ l& lnine years and our mission is to equip youth to engage and inspire others to9 l" X) a5 E% a0 N! W/ V, K8 e
peacefully resolve conflicts and develop healthy relationships in their communities. P- [ P8 P, t1 P
The YOUCAN VERTO Project is a Government of Canada and Government of Albertafunded
" z4 H8 p6 l5 \4 p' s& W$ B& R2 {, @8 v$ i% t
project that will bring at-risk youth together into a unique 15 -week groupbased$ g4 g9 L- W& p" C+ D# b( l
employability skills program entitled “The VERTO Project”.
6 ?* C1 h, V9 F7 e, W! V" D; x6 gThe goal of the VERTO Program is to assist participants in obtaining and maintaining
# h+ t& t3 _1 t7 y" j8 qthe skills necessary to bring success into their lives. Verto program will expose, a! h/ E& z' B* d
participants to a wide range of components focusing on: employment development,
( H" m* _# g/ ]& U' j8 O+ Apersonal wellness, technology learning, conflict resolution, and exposure courses.
6 l- \( ^: j. M" \2 }Additionally, we will incorporate topics around health and wellness, volunteerism,- W6 V" w) Z( d2 H# u z
and leadership courses. Verto youth will be provided with a six-month employment
$ U' ?# Z- B8 V( C3 ufollow-up once the program is completed.

Verto project will run from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the( ~, n% J" N* v& ~% L: w3 e$ X
YOUCAN office, located at 11124-130 St. (Westmount Jr. High School) in Edmonton, Alberta.
