peacefully resolve conflicts and develop healthy relationships in their communities.7 V) E' a& H, `, \
The YOUCAN VERTO Project is a Government of Canada and Government of Albertafunded( R: f: N/ `- j+ l$ A
% u3 `7 c2 V* v0 T( w$ `2 `; Qproject that will bring at-risk youth together into a unique 15 -week groupbased5 R5 A1 R: c/ ^9 K |
employability skills program entitled “The VERTO Project”.3 _; c0 h7 D3 k. V+ N! P
The goal of the VERTO Program is to assist participants in obtaining and maintaining
( S Y, _$ @* f# E* n% _the skills necessary to bring success into their lives. Verto program will expose$ @8 A7 R; z$ r: r- V( x
participants to a wide range of components focusing on: employment development,
5 v$ J- A3 q- J# ?! }: O4 Wpersonal wellness, technology learning, conflict resolution, and exposure courses.
p1 U y) r# _7 i ?/ H$ A- oAdditionally, we will incorporate topics around health and wellness, volunteerism,
' K- d$ y8 g5 K0 R. E6 U& O1 E- P3 mand leadership courses. Verto youth will be provided with a six-month employment# h& A: l6 `; {1 p- i
follow-up once the program is completed., }( d: L# K% s$ J" Z( D8 L: t$ {6 w

Verto project will run from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the: d. c: X7 K9 w2 f6 V* n* ~
YOUCAN office, located at 11124-130 St. (Westmount Jr. High School) in Edmonton, Alberta.
