Position:        Youth Leader
Duration of Commitment:Summer T.A.N.G. Youth Program
Camp 1 – July 04 – July 14
' k$ C2 w) N5 u# lCamp 2 – July 31 – August 11 (must attend an overnight camp on August 10 to 11)
/ |( f8 C& u" b, }Time:0915 to 1600(Regular Program Time)
/ v' J; U; O) K! }*might work in other time in some specific days

: L" }' l/ L7 ^Duties:
( E. N2 K) `# N" ZTo assist the T.A.N.G. Youth Program Coordinator by providing clerical and/or activities support in the followings:

: G: R( A" A" X6 Y3 k6 n  o Distribution of promotion flyers to schools, churches, communities and relevant social agencies and professionals
4 j2 p3 Y3 |" n8 `: n6 S  d' [5 L Take attendance if available
 Provide positive modelling to youth
7 V8 A9 |6 g0 C) f( {6 a) ^ Facilitate or assist in ice-breaking games and/or other activities
2 x- I% D. e, O( O Facilitate or assist in small group discussions
4 W* O( N! s# w9 O2 f4 \2 Z Research activities related to the session’s topic upon advice of the Program Coordinator
) M- t" z2 F' C) E4 q) H2 H Watch out on the safety of youth either in centre or fieldtrips
 Report to the Program Coordinator for any doubts or concerns and/or any troubleshoot behaviour
 Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program Coordinator
! n% Q# m- @; Z2 a( G Must follow guidelines or procedures stipulated in the manual/training
 Attend debriefing sessions/ongoing training
 Assist in program planning/design
 Any other program related tasks as assigned by the Program Coordinator

Attitude/Skills Requirements

/ ], n" n0 a0 J% i5 ^, a! E Mature, sensible, patient, organized, willing to take and follow instruction
& U/ A% R, l, [% `  j" Z Be open and willing to initiate and maintain a positive relationship with youths in the program, or youth who is matched on an one-on-one basis
 A team player, can get along well with other staff & volunteers
: r9 L4 J$ r5 T( {) D Concentrate efforts in the group session or activities over other distractions
 Able to work independently with minimum supervision
 Value building on strengths in children, youth and families
 Able to get along with youth and/or youth who might at risk
 Certain proficiency in English and Chinese
