Duration of Commitment:Summer T.A.N.G. Youth Program
Camp 1 – July 04 – July 14
8 U- @# p, j0 i: o4 b  s4 U, ?Camp 2 – July 31 – August 11 (must attend an overnight camp on August 10 to 11)
Time:0915 to 1600(Regular Program Time)

* ~$ t% M( K" u9 Y: B7 HPlace: ASSIST Community Services Centre

Program Coordinator:        Daniel SUEN

Duties:
) h' l, O7 l6 y1 ^' d  ATo assist the T.A.N.G. Youth Program Coordinator by providing clerical and/or activities support in the followings:

# v  I1 o8 V( h7 R, | Distribution of promotion flyers to schools, churches, communities and relevant social agencies and professionals
3 _4 D% C/ f" I$ R& C Take attendance if available
: H6 ^1 f) |+ }9 n5 T  d; `# J2 D Provide positive modelling to youth
 Facilitate or assist in ice-breaking games and/or other activities
 Facilitate or assist in small group discussions
) e+ M7 W7 q+ w$ \$ Z: s2 { Research activities related to the session’s topic upon advice of the Program Coordinator
 Watch out on the safety of youth either in centre or fieldtrips
 Report to the Program Coordinator for any doubts or concerns and/or any troubleshoot behaviour
 Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program Coordinator
7 F0 h$ G3 ^. B  F  y% v! ~ Must follow guidelines or procedures stipulated in the manual/training
 Attend debriefing sessions/ongoing training
: x1 u" b6 i  Y* u! O; N( v' N Assist in program planning/design
 Any other program related tasks as assigned by the Program Coordinator

Attitude/Skills Requirements

 Mature, sensible, patient, organized, willing to take and follow instruction
 Be open and willing to initiate and maintain a positive relationship with youths in the program, or youth who is matched on an one-on-one basis
 A team player, can get along well with other staff & volunteers
 Concentrate efforts in the group session or activities over other distractions
7 C$ V( O: U$ e3 r; W5 y# X* q7 C( @2 S Able to work independently with minimum supervision
/ h. W% U# b1 E* v* C Value building on strengths in children, youth and families
* r; d6 @" S* h5 r% O; j$ G Able to get along with youth and/or youth who might at risk
 Certain proficiency in English and Chinese
