1. It's cool.' q& h! {8 H! Y7 n# t
7 D: X. p0 w+ q/ k3 N1 r
(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard. 所以可以说: : V2 H# L" Y; i  W6 D) O9 N
    That's cool;he is cool;this is cool.
6 x& l- r! J/ q6 V+ F  p    Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)# E( a" u5 Y' f0 ]: z  d7 u
; L- w4 D- f2 G4 V2 x5 Z  O- T4 _
主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。
) B# f4 ^, n/ j    She (He) was cool in the past.
" [- k7 [1 |, [    That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫)
, |& z; z. k9 c) y4 z: H* N    He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人)
; d- @8 `' d0 Q  Y4 S% H# p* y* e8 }" ]; z6 v4 J; d
但是如果说:Are you cool?
, e+ v( m6 p$ P8 K, A' J7 E    She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not 9 d* k; n, S9 |4 S
    emotional.
  Q+ {0 X5 \, Z) W9 V! Y! M3 ^( n    (注:许多华人把 cool 译成「很酷」) + e. Z: h, U3 f
% T" I8 S; o: B, g* G' t
2. Are you trippin'?+ G* u' g/ y, j1 ?. W
- l. x. v: V% y. |3 x
这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?)
    They are trippin'. (= tripping) 8 h. a- B$ o* S4 H0 ~
    She (he) is trippin'. " k. z! B! [' W
Mr. A must be trippin'. ) `+ M5 Z/ C$ l# B7 B2 v6 C% m
; C1 ~' s6 W9 g' d
) y8 z: o- u9 v4 q3. He is a nerd! v% B8 k. K/ Z
/ Y$ V" o/ U0 s" Q: r* G. |
(A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.)
9 Q! R' @" Q  `9 Q/ D  p" F/ P    He used to be a nerd in high school - `" d/ f- Q$ X0 `2 \: V, G0 y) Q
9 u* j6 o7 F- f2 J
4. Yo baby6 t" c- q" f5 ^/ M$ b
, e* y0 w) g# w  B9 D1 x. t" t: M
(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说: ) U5 d) I+ C- K: x4 n: h" L6 o7 R5 y
Yo baby, are you trippin'?
May I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before.
/ _7 K3 `* J8 Z0 P( ~    Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?) # j3 H0 P% u$ w

- t) n; }* ^7 u  {5. She is a ho' J  B) J  v% r; `

(a girl or woman gives sex freely without charge),也就是说:She is very loose. 或 She is a loose woman (girl)。 S- k4 }7 c# k. R: n
    They are (were) hos.   [  g" I- X7 s
    There are quite a few hos in high schools. (a girl or woman is paid for sex.) ) t3 [) g8 Q8 S2 a: p  W

" `1 J8 Z8 b! Z6 D/ Y6. Catch you later!
8 P' _) ]) W' z: ~$ ^7 r5 s
! O9 v/ [! m9 _8 u. (a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等)
# q' j, ^, r3 f( D有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. 意思就是:I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again.
' M# j9 J( _6 v.
