1. It's cool.
  J9 z3 {/ ~: z' e4 K
(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard. C& w7 s8 ?5 T8 @' j
    That's cool;he is cool;this is cool.
- T; K9 O3 r7 U0 T5 a    Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)
8 Z% [! w- Y. m+ z4 |) v3 B8 _8 n. _' J% {. f9 I( ]
主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。
She (He) was cool in the past.
1 _( Z2 j7 \7 ]    That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫)
7 I# w  W$ i" b" @; W) a    He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人) # x. x. H3 D. R! L

4 i4 b& H9 i3 f, l" _  B) ^' |$ {但是如果说:Are you cool?
& H2 _& U9 S. y( C5 O    She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not 5 a- ?6 v8 J# ]7 V* c$ h1 C
    emotional.
( _& M" Y: Q8 q# s    (注:许多华人把 cool 译成「很酷」) 1 N! j8 r* j# ]" X

3 M9 d4 ~$ ]  J2 l) k8 A- \2. Are you trippin'?
% V- \% k1 N; g3 l8 x6 ~0 X, `+ D7 g2 b: Q
这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?) 所以可以说: & w, D0 h; |" j& J  o' g
    They are trippin'. (= tripping)
8 o+ U, }% U3 y( S8 P8 k, g    She (he) is trippin'.
( k% j4 ~- n! ~; JMr. A must be trippin'. 1 O  F3 y2 h# P5 M6 _
6 R3 q* G5 ]3 K
/ _+ O9 ^7 O8 W7 ~( K7 R0 A, D  F3. He is a nerd' ]1 B/ q- o$ K
& A; O' o2 j3 I
(A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.)
3 U3 e# p' o& U' r1 Q: V    He used to be a nerd in high school
$ G. ?7 b5 T) W. }- ?4 n8 c! Z6 F; E1 ]; m
4. Yo baby
3 g; X9 w" r% }$ n; I- a+ Y' @' s$ C9 F
(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说:
3 t8 j% [6 k, Y9 X# `" Z    Yo baby, are you trippin'?
May I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before. ! W; E$ G. f/ z  t
: W" ?4 b. C# ?! P0 P. i0 W    Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?) " m4 W" ?' ]( X5 N6 v6 ~3 r
2 R4 }9 @/ n# u- S6 N
5. She is a ho
6 z; D6 ~  t" O1 v, G* q& P* D! G
(a girl or woman gives sex freely without charge),也就是说:She is very loose. 或 She is a loose woman (girl)。 ho 也可用复数: + o( n. u( Q5 z' T$ S7 t& |
    They are (were) hos. * \; @- E! p. @, Q( J" u
There are quite a few hos in high schools. (a girl or woman is paid for sex.) ) g$ H0 g! P$ p2 S/ E
) H, F3 G1 D1 y" x. K
6. Catch you later!/ {1 u" [5 y1 j1 ?9 U# k6 @

(a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等)
% k# F( l1 Y! Q" f$ L/ e9 U) B有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again.
, M0 o% g" A5 n. M  B' @5 g# z(我要走了,再谈吧!)
