+ G( }. N7 B8 c. U8 MSEDI is hiring an in-house financial literacy trainer/coordinator who will help build financial literacy programs across Canada.

. i) T1 h" M9 L4 @2 B• conduct socio-economic market and policy research
( ~: B0 T9 F/ Q7 n7 ^( \• act as a knowledge broker between communities and policy makers, and influence public policies that affect low income earners & C6 R+ W M( N, b1 h3 I" U1 j5 ?& D
• develop socio-economic programs and manage their implementation 3 i; b E, Z4 t9 r
• partner with other nonprofits across Canada to deliver programs 3 `+ H$ y4 J/ V$ O$ w! M E+ C
• provide training and capacity building to frontline nonprofits ) A4 D' ]0 A9 P/ ^6 R
• work strategically with the public and private sectors to develop innovative responses

• Facilitation of forums and training of trainers sessions (basic financial literacy) with staff at partner community organizations across Canada , H/ `6 c3 H6 |) b* ?
• Assistance in the development and design of financial literacy tools (ie- curriculum, videos etc) $ m) y& E+ `! x z! ]* f* b
• Coordination of activities and communication with delivery sites of the CCFL as required
( D5 T. D0 B$ [# u• Working with the website and communications teams on CCFL communications activities 7 P$ Z& Q5 l; j3 m9 m6 h
• Working with evaluation and management information systems team ' @$ h! o- L; ~" `; M
• Other CCFL duties (reporting, evaluation, communications) as required
+ X2 }0 O3 t8 O1 VOther Activities:- j3 a4 F) i; ?6 g
• Providing support to implement research and evaluation activities, solve implementation challenges, and fine-tune strategies
' Z, m$ V2 Q5 O• Organizing and monitoring the collection of all evaluation forms, surveys, and reports from project partners
' b4 S7 j. g! R } n) N9 [• Working with in-house Management Information System staff to facilitate data input, analysis and reporting & i4 y7 d: w2 {" |* Z& W
• Writing and editing of research and evaluation reports, project reports and internal progress reports
/ z' [. |3 ]) y- S6 q• Participating in the development of Internet-based strategies for sharing findings/effective practices and for promoting learning 9 ]1 r/ [' @; O; S+ ^/ e2 q
Primary Qualifications: & \) o1 k9 h) S& h/ O
• Demonstrated group facilitation experience # Q: x% ?1 o6 I
• Strong communication and public speaking skills; including comfortable with new technology and social media + \& e" _0 c! i/ U o6 J' p6 ~
• Able to travel across Canada to conduct training f0 S' j1 i/ Q/ r3 F9 C1 G
• Entrepreneurial spirit, can proactively identify prospective opportunities
* H: Z2 r0 j+ ]! i$ Y* C• Highly motivated self-starter with team orientation; ability to build committed and collaborative teams
) S/ W( i6 L4 |3 S" q; V( ?1 l• Passion, enthusiasm and deep commitment to the SEDI mission, vision, values and goals
: k, V" n5 t+ |' y# x• Demonstrated understanding of basic financial literacy concepts # u$ W, }8 d O. y3 `
• Experience in working with economically vulnerable Canadians and the organizations that serve them 5 a) D9 l+ N/ d6 [8 D$ K o* |
• Experience working directly with community organizations that serve segments of the population such as: youth, seniors, women, aboriginal peoples, newcomers to Canada etc
" O* p6 a U# j) d) N• Experience in ‘training of trainers’ activities or education

' h: ]% g% d5 n' q; R• Team player, able to deal effectively with multi-sectoral partners

• Computer skills: Word, ACCESS, Power Point etc.

• Policy research skill set is an asset
