• conduct socio-economic market and policy research
: q3 t' e( F9 H- d5 W• act as a knowledge broker between communities and policy makers, and influence public policies that affect low income earners
7 j0 P3 x+ D$ `; \) E3 w• develop socio-economic programs and manage their implementation
, a- a0 _# o9 h4 A. s9 Y• partner with other nonprofits across Canada to deliver programs

• work strategically with the public and private sectors to develop innovative responses

% P# |. f9 c }$ n• Facilitation of forums and training of trainers sessions (basic financial literacy) with staff at partner community organizations across Canada
4 T6 i7 J8 F* s$ ^4 m( {• Assistance in the development and design of financial literacy tools (ie- curriculum, videos etc) % n* U. W t' s; |+ [6 @- ]+ S' b! G
• Coordination of activities and communication with delivery sites of the CCFL as required # `, G) _1 H6 F2 P1 Y& `4 ^
• Working with the website and communications teams on CCFL communications activities
# w6 S" Z3 G, w- A Y, w• Working with evaluation and management information systems team
& x. K D3 j& D6 `• Other CCFL duties (reporting, evaluation, communications) as required

• Providing support to implement research and evaluation activities, solve implementation challenges, and fine-tune strategies ' T6 _9 O! Z: P% F6 l: }
• Organizing and monitoring the collection of all evaluation forms, surveys, and reports from project partners
, e( |. M/ [( S* N8 M% i0 m3 P• Working with in-house Management Information System staff to facilitate data input, analysis and reporting
& {$ k) m$ W0 i% D• Writing and editing of research and evaluation reports, project reports and internal progress reports
( X% k) Z/ C. e5 \ x• Participating in the development of Internet-based strategies for sharing findings/effective practices and for promoting learning + Z {# [. C( [3 C& U' b9 A
Primary Qualifications:
: Y' p* `! [* u% {/ `6 Y• Demonstrated group facilitation experience
$ N0 _. H+ h o7 r7 ]3 u+ m• Strong communication and public speaking skills; including comfortable with new technology and social media * M0 e! x L4 ~
• Able to travel across Canada to conduct training
0 w' ^/ S+ ?2 |. w: f5 j! c+ R1 t• Entrepreneurial spirit, can proactively identify prospective opportunities / B: `% p, [- p# C
• Highly motivated self-starter with team orientation; ability to build committed and collaborative teams & j8 N$ r2 @% X5 w8 q
• Passion, enthusiasm and deep commitment to the SEDI mission, vision, values and goals 6 }5 j' T1 X5 Y% _
• Demonstrated understanding of basic financial literacy concepts
& s. m0 E4 o! ?" y p, T% o• Experience in working with economically vulnerable Canadians and the organizations that serve them
1 s# F1 p* g8 x3 x• Experience working directly with community organizations that serve segments of the population such as: youth, seniors, women, aboriginal peoples, newcomers to Canada etc 8 e. |' g' ?% {& _/ }: \9 _( {
• Experience in ‘training of trainers’ activities or education Y5 Q3 l- j4 E$ q8 f0 V
• Content / curriculum development experience
4 l8 d' u/ a& E• Team player, able to deal effectively with multi-sectoral partners + Z. {# k" S. o6 Z1 A, @
• Excellent organizational skills

• Ability in French (both written and oral) is an asset 5 `7 @# N5 I5 F6 u7 ^
