8 s* ^1 h7 y; l8 Q+ l2 p, p# x* j- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
- c$ t# L& w) w( c- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
-  develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
& Y) L, v) k3 u( N) ?, M$ k- provide support to ISP staff
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
* e; x; v6 ]* o. r- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
. @! V% j6 E. d' O+ q- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
7 d* b5 V. D: _8 Q2 r4 j- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
6 w8 M- ]/ S, S5 {- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned
- other duties as assigned

5 W0 \( Z3 ^, R( j) ^6 n1 a2 ~Qualifications
- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
- good interpersonal and people skills
- good organizational and coordination skills

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary
2 R5 n' F% ~' w* j9 _1 q- $12/hr for 17.5hours/week, April 18 to March 31, 2007
