The Human Resources Advisor is a generalist position, responsible for providing a range of support and expertise, enabling management to deliver best practices and human resource solutions which support the business operations of the PCN.6 u( [7 P1 q/ k

The key responsibilities of this role is to review and ensure effectiveness of day-to-day human resources functions, includes, but are not limited, to:7 y* B2 \* J9 i" P5 }+ ^3 `
1. Recruitment, Selection and Orientation& {5 @' M! {# L. `: ~
• Provide guidance and support for recruitment, sourcing, job postings, screening, interviews, reference checks, and selection practices, as well as job offers
% t* J/ Q3 N+ n- j8 [8 } d• Develop, administer and evaluate applicant tests
% I4 T/ ]0 Y, B: `& S• Ensure job descriptions are kept current8 c/ U' P0 {1 m/ W4 C
• Manage the new employee orientation and orientation programs
* \: i6 c& e. F6 x$ S; V• Support the administration of probation evaluations for all employees8 v$ l7 y" {6 j! ^! M" S/ u4 t8 V( t

2. Policy and Procedure; A: }4 U& Y* t, m
• Provide recommendations for policies and procedures; when identified as a priority and delegated by the General Manager, develop the necessary documentation and seek approval
7 k3 W) i$ ^" H0 S5 } Manage all policies and procedures to ensure consistency, references are correct and there is no duplication or contradictions
& j7 S2 m( Z; n9 v0 q5 Y h6 B8 ^8 r• Advise all employees, especially Team Leads and Managers, on interpretation and administration of policies, procedures, programs and legislative compliance# s7 }( Y8 @4 U
# K$ H5 x' w* f. u3 Y3. Performance Management Support
: g4 y$ n9 }" C, u/ v) s3 `• Monitor attendance/absenteeism and assist with the administration of performance management program
Q6 @5 |+ T* M6 z* Q3 L# F• Support Team Leads and Managers in the administration of discipline and employee coaching
3 E! _' F5 b# `" p8 O8 S• Provide resolutions to employee relation issues (e.g. employee complaints and harassment allegations)

4. Human Resource Information Gathering
5 |/ o" m5 T: ~1 Q& j8 ?$ [' X• Maintain accurate records and compile statistical reports relating to personnel data – e.g. hires, absenteeism rates, performance appraisals( E( X$ w3 O$ l
• Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of organization's personnel policies and practices

• Administer and record employee rewards, recognition and incentive programs8 N! N; Q* w5 J

7. Payroll and Benefits, K1 K, B2 S# I- D
• Oversee payroll administration and maintain relationship with payroll provider

Qualifications & Expertise
* q5 } a1 F% Z; K! e8 x Minimum 5 years of experience as an HR generalist (series of progressive specialist roles will also be considered)! F( s0 n' o. Z2 g$ n
 Minimum 2-year diploma, preferably in human resources or business administration specializing in HR, or related area of study (equivalencies will be considered)$ b" J( [' z- o
 A CHRP designation is an asset
/ m) X- a0 d1 z' b% x Experience in the health care industry is an asset
; h H4 J. U2 w6 r4 k6 q Experience managing change is preferred2 Z$ u& B$ H! K1 p3 [
 Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook- W# I$ I/ r- a; L Z' W" n$ j2 C! J
